Alasdair Gold confirms defender has picked up an injury and will be out for four to six weeks

Tottenham’s injury woes continue into the new year, as Ben Davies and Giovani Lo Celso both have become victims of hamstring injuries.

It was reported by Paul O Keefe yesterday that the duo have picked up sustained hamstring issues and another update from a Tottenham based football correspondent (@SecretPrem) claimed that the severity of the damage is unsure as yet.

Alasdair Gold has shared the latest (via Football London) on the injury to the Welsh defender today, confirming that he will be unavailable for a significant period.

Reporting the behind the scene happenings at the club leading to the Dragusin transfer, he confirmed the injuries to the aforementioned duo and further revealed that Davies is set to be out for a four to six week timescale for his hamstring injury.

Ben Davies’ absence will certainly be a blow for Ange considering how good he has been since coming to replace Micky van de Ven, but Radu Dragusin’s arrival is a source of encouragement for the manager, offering him an extra defensive cover.

Spurs may still need to sign another defender, with Dier now closing in on a move to Bayern Munich, which will once again leave them short of numbers in case of injuries.
