Agent denies Tottenham is close to signing highly-rated striker

Lautaro Martinez has become the subject of transfer interest by Tottenham in this transfer window as the Lilywhites continue to bolster their squad.

The Argentine striker helped Inter Milan to win the Italian league title last season and he is one of their key players.

However, the Italians need money to balance their books and selling him would go a long way in helping them remain financially positive.

The Daily Mail says some reports have suggested that Tottenham has reached an agreement to sign him for £60million because Nuno Espirito Santo wants to pair him and Harry Kane in a two-pronged attack.

However, his agent has now denied such rumours and insists that the striker is happy in Milan with the Italian champions.

Alejandro Camano admits that there are offers for his service from clubs around Europe, but at the moment, he is only focused on playing for Inter Milan.

Camano said as quoted by the same report: ‘Lautaro is an Inter player and is happy in Italy. His decision is to stay.

‘The relationship with Inter is perfect. Lautaro Martinez is calm. Yes, it is true that there were offers, but today he is fine and we will sit down to talk about the future.’

However, when asked about the terms of his new contract with Inter, Camano said: ‘The renewal? Lautaro is from Inter, he will never enter into conflict with the club. Never, this is reality.’
