Hugo Lloris insists Tottenham have no tricks left up their sleeves as their grip on a Premier League top-four spot loosened even further over the weekend.

Spurs were title contenders little over a fortnight ago, but since then their Premier League campaign has imploded as a 2-1 loss at Southampton made it three defeats from four.

Not only are they no longer in the running to win the title, they are now worriedly looking over their shoulder in their bid for a fourth-successive year of Champions League qualification.

“Yes, it’s been four games now without a win,” the Spurs captain told PA Sport when asked if he was worried about the league form.

“Especially against a team that you except to get points from. It’s tough to lose games and it makes things very complicated for us.

“We had a good gap in the months before, now it has reduced and, like I said, we don’t have a joker (card) anymore. We need to win every game until the end.”

Tottenham are not in action for three weeks now, due to the FA Cup next weekend and the international break.

They are heading to Barcelona for a short training camp this week where they will make the most of some time off after a hectic run of games over the last few months.

While the FA Cup proceeds without Spurs this weekend, I find it interesting that Poch is rewarding the boys for getting knocked out of this competition in the fourth round with a sunny trip to Barcelona for “training”. Cast your minds back to late January when, having only just lost a Carabao Cup semi-final to Chelsea on penalties, they so Spursily got trounced 2-0 by Crystal Palace. Oh well, enjoy the paella, boys. Oh well, at least I can entertain myself Sunday watching Millwall play Brighton & Hove Albion. Yippeee.

At least…for the first time this season…the press are linking us with some actual players that are worth a look. Wont save us this season. My only hope is that after 3 weeks off, the stadium being mostly ready for action, we see a few contract renewals of important players. I would even accept 5th…to an extent, if we keep Toby and Christian.

Oh no…was that the plan all along? Deprive us of signings, fall apart at the end so we consider keeping our players as a win!! :'(

On the Toby and eriksen thing I think you will be waiting a long time on that as neither have any intentions of resigning new contracts. Both have been offered and both refused. They both I believe want to now leave so move on sadly.
