‘Absolutely hysterical’ – Fans fume as new angle shows Guglielmo Vicario was clearly fouled by Dias

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham fans felt they were hard done by the referee’s controversial decision to not give a foul on Vicario in the build-up to Ake’s winner.

The performance from Spurs was not the best, but they had done well enough to stop City from scoring until the 88th minute.

The goal came from a Kevin de Bruyne corner, who delivered the ball right in front of the keeper.

Vicario tried to punch it, but Ruben Dias was seen blocking his way and the Italian keeper could only punch it on to Micky van de Ven’s back before Ake slotted it home from close range.

There was a VAR review to check whether the Tottenham goalkeeper was fouled by Dias but the goal was eventually given.

However, this new angle of the incident has now gone on viral on social media which shows that Dias was indeed obstructing Vicario which could and perhaps should have been a foul.

TBH Says:

It is not the first time a decision has gone in favour of Manchester City, and it certainly is not the first time a decision has gone against us.

The officiating in this country has been subpar for quite some time and the frequent decisions in favour of Manchester City does not only indicate incompetence but potential corruption as well.
