A Video Of Several Fouls During The City Game Which Some Fans Might Have Misunderstood

By The Boy -

Kane suffered more fouls that any player in this game – six. De Bruyne and Jesus could only contrive 4 each. Harry Kane has gone from a successful workhorse to absolute shining star under the serial winning Portuguese. Who could dispute such a claim!?

The Gaffer told Harry Kane that he would make him ‘explode’, what he didn’t add, was that the Kosher One would precipitate the evolution in a player that the sport had already acknowledged by the footballing fraternity as pretty damn special in the first place!

José’s players are clever bleeps now, opposed to stupid ones.

We’ve also had 70% possession at home and won, more than we’ve lost…

In rugby they talk about hybrid players. Harry can do the lot.
Still grateful he was on the line to clear (was it Brighton?)
As long as he is still scoring as well he/we will be “berry ‘appy”

Just for fun…………if Manure decided he was the best player in the world for them and presented a bid for any ideas what he would be worth now?

Lack of quality with the final ball destroyed any small chance Leicester had last night, they never got the ball to Vardy while Maddison, Albrighton, etc just fluffed their lines at the key moments – that’s why I say I’m happy with counter attacking but we can still get that bit more clinical ourselves.

I’m hoping Bale will help with that, I’m pretty sure he still has the magic touch even if he no longer has all the pace.

More than one way to skin a cat as they say (apologies to any cat lovers on here). We’ve had 70% possession at home and lost. It doesn’t matter how much of the ball you get it’s what you do with it that counts. Sounds like Leicester went and set up defensively and didn’t play to their own strengths.

I can’t say that our defending against City was all that convincing at times and were probably fortunate no to have conceded (the Jesus hand ball aside). Speaking of which, I couldn’t believe that had the passage of play continued longer before City put the ball in the back of the net, the commentator said the goal would have stood. I would have thought a hand ball is hand ball period and therefore a free kick. And VAR gave us the benefit of the doubt after a glancing header caught an(Sissoko’s?) arm in the 18 yd box. The world’s going crazy. Bergwijn looked off the pace in general, Lucas looking more dangerous when he replaced him. Is he still unfit? Will Eric Dier defy gravity and ever get off the ground? In a fitting tribute to Ray Clemence, Son and Lo Celso put the ball through the keeper’s legs to finish.

They Villa defeat was a wake up call to a side that have been very good for over two years. Looks like they’re awake now and level with us on points, going to be an interesting season….

We could go there and hope to nick it on the break, we do that at home so away at Anfield it’s a given that we’ll go there to defend as usual.

Even more evidence of delightfulness.

From the ‘fan’ who never went to see us until he got handed free tickets and never went to Wembley to see us beat Real Madrid and Liverpool 4-1. Knows nothing of our recent history, just runs it down because it suits him. Plonker…

Liverpool have just pummelled the side in second 3-0 at home playing on the front foot. No chance of letting the away side have the ball for most of the match either.

Which is why I always say, there’s more than one way to get the job done and I know which way I prefer as a Spurs fan.

Ah, I see the resident name caller is back. Such a delightful chap… 😂

Liverpool haven’t suddenly gone to pot, they’ve had a slightly shaky start for them and injuries yet despite all their perceived woes and our ‘stellar’ start, they still have the same points as us.

I bet they didn’t need to let Leicester have 70% of the ball at home to win 3-0 either… 🤔

True but rejected by Villa Albrighton was outstanding for the Foxes in 2016!

He’s a great all round player but under Jose he’s playing pacy players like Son, Bergwjin etc in. It’s because Jose likes to play on the counter so much Kane’s main job is winning the ball and hoofing it up to a sprinter.

HK will do whatever he needs to do for the team, but I agree with you Marbs. Why is making tackles in your own half suddenly a wonderful attribute for a striker?

It’s the cult of Jose, where pragmatism and function suddenly become things to be worshipped. Look it’s working right now but it’s not the Spurs way. Bill Nic put down the blueprint, in light of that, this is more or less heresy.

We won the Double playing that way and we should find a way to win that way again. Liverpool do, why not us?

Still a side who got thrashed by Villa a few weeks ago so they still need to prove they’re consistent.

Albrighton isn’t good enough to be starting for Leicester, crossing was so poor.

Digressing, after weakened Liverpool (missing Salah et al) saw off the Foxes with ease strolling to a convincing 3-0 victory tonight put out an ominous statement of intent to their rivals of defending their title. Watching the match 2 players stood out like a shining beacon:-
(i) Diogo Jota – Excellent £41m signing from Wolves quickly delivering the goods and
(ii) The underrated ageless tireless utility King, James Milner who effortlessly slots into the team wherever he plays. Super player.

Lets hope when we travel to Anfield we produce a better display than the passive Foxes who made to look ordinary were completed outplayed and outclassed in all departments on the night offering very little going forward. Isolated Vardy was anonymous Both Maddisson and Tielemans disappointed.

Is that what they call a Defensive striker? I would of thought that was a few years off but he’s still playing great.

Kane has become the best multi-role player on the planet. Only a matter of time before he gets ahead of Joe Hart too!

Are we excited that Kane is now the best defensive header we have at corners and he is winning more tackles than Sissoko in midfield? Is he not a no 9, adept at scoring goals? Can you imagine Pele or Jimmy Greaves being lauded for winning tackles in their own half?

Harry is very clever and a little too honest,he said during an interview after the game he is enjoying the tackling and the winning of fouls.
