Tottenham Hotspur signed James Maddison from Leicester City at the start of the season.

The 27-year-old England international has hit the ground running in the Premier League and he has already established himself as a key player for the North London club.

Maddison has been excellent with his performances and he has transformed Tottenham going forward. His performances have impressed the former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas.

The Spaniard has now revealed that Maddison is a complete player who has made a big difference for Tottenham. He also lavished praise on the midfielder’s understanding and link-up play with Son Heung-min.

“Straight away you could feel he’s got the confidence,” he said.

“He’s got the personality to demand the ball, to make things happen and to create situations. He’s good at dribbling, he is good at assisting and he can score goals. So he’s a really complete player in my opinion”, reports the Mirror.

“He has a good understanding with Son and the strikers and for me he’s a fantastic player to have. And as a coach I’m sure that you need to adapt to the strengths of your players and the better quality they have, the easier it is. And definitely he is one of them you would always want in your team.”

The 27-year-old midfielder has four goals and eight assists in all competitions this season and he has been an indispensable asset for Ange Postecoglou. He will look to continue his impressive run of form in the coming months and help Spurs secure Champions League qualification for the next season.

Tottenham will be desperate to secure a top four finish this season and Maddison will be crucial to their hopes of competing in the Premier European competition next season. He has been a key player for them in the attack and they are overly dependent on him for creating goalscoring opportunities.

Maddison will look to build on his impressive start to life at the North London club and guide them to trophies in the coming seasons.
