Manchester United might not have much to envy Tottenham Hotspur, considering the number of trophies The Red Devils have won compared to the north London club. However, they might have one envy over Spurs, and that’s the stadium.

Last week, a report surfaced that Manchester United would be using the same master planners who developed the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to manage the Old Trafford revamp.

The Daily Mail reports how much they are ready to spend to give their stadium a makeover that rivals or surpass what Tottenham has with their new home ground. The English media outlet states that this revamp will cost The Red Devils more than £200-million.

Manchester United has around 100,000 supporters on the waiting list for season tickets and wants to confirm that there is sufficient demand for the expanded stadium to be full regularly.

Furthermore, the Daily Mail also adds that the club’s existing debt, which was £495-million at the end of 2021, will not stop them from borrowing additional money to go through with this project.

Maybe ENIC FC should hire out Levy to overlook the Building Project ? It would be handy money to be made.

A tale of two owners. Look at what Yannited have won under the ownership of the Glazers. Then compare that to us.

I’d have more faith in the Glazers to continue to invest not just into a new ground but to also invest into a playing staff capable of continuing a tradition of winning stuff and creating a global brand.

£200m I’ve only dreamt of only spending £200m on a stadium upgrade.
While we are talking about wasting hundreds of millions which club has done a deal to lock in costs of their new stadium (maybe Liverpool or Everton?).
Probably learnt from the mess that Daniel Einstein has got Tottenham in.
If only £50m of that wastage had been spent on a midfielder who could “do a Bissouma” we might be talking about how we smashed the Seagulls.

Borrowing more to fund the stadium expansion by the Glazers will not only be a debt trap but also a dead trap that the Glazers may not redeem themselves from.
With current debt at £450m not dwindling and with another £200m to finance the increase the capacity to nearly 90,000 seats, the Glazers are only looking at increased revenue from which they can leech more with no intention or plan to reduce the debt, their greed may finally force them to sell up and pack-up and leave.
