After the Royal Antwerp loss the gaffer went ‘route one’ in letting everyone know how unhappy he was with the boys’ efforts and posted on Instagram a snap of him looking furious, waiting to leave the stadium. I made the point on the #KeepItTottenham podcast that this was a very clever move by Mou, as this – beyond the confines of the dressing room – put his ire right under the noses of the players – a generation that lives and breathes on Instagram.

Last night José went back to Instagram to let the lads know his post match mood again. This was clever again as was pictured snacking on some crisps, along with a message that suggested, ‘well done for doing what I told you to do – win’. Admittedly I’m a full on Mourinho fanboy, but this to me is great management. Right now Spurs have won nothing, but José absolutely wants to win this tournament. These are the new levels of expectation.

Fan boy😂 what’s your fav boy band?
I’m currently hot for boyzone myself.
I’m joking of course I listen to electronic music and spend 100’s a month on it whilst still doing plenty drugs😂.
Aww you’re calling him Mou now. #smitten
Top man. I’ve interacted with him couple times. (Felix project) super kool.
