“99% done” – Insider claims Tottenham are on the verge of completing the signing of world class attacker

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly in the final stages of securing a permanent deal for Dejan Kulusevski.

According to Football Insider, the club is intent on signing the Swedish midfielder, even if the activation clause in his loan deal is not met.

This clause was contingent on Tottenham finishing in the top four and Kulusevski playing in at least 20 games in all competitions.

The report from Insider states that the deal to sign him on a permanent deal is “99 per cent done”.

Kulusevski has been a standout performer for Spurs since arriving on loan in January 2022.

He played a vital role in the team’s push for a top-four finish last season, scoring five goals and providing eight assists in just 18 appearances.

Although he has suffered from injuries this season, the Swede has still managed to impress, contributing two goals and five assists in 18 league games.

Tottenham’s season has been plagued by injuries, with several key players missing significant periods due to various fitness issues.

Despite a promising start, Spurs’ form has dipped in recent months, and they are now out of all domestic competitions, with the Champions League being their only chance for silverware this season.

However, they currently trail AC Milan 1-0 in the knockout stages, and their chances of progressing to the next round are looking slim.

Despite the challenges they have faced, Tottenham is still in contention for a top-four finish this season.

However, Liverpool, who are just behind them in the table, has two games in hand, and they are putting pressure on Spurs to maintain their form.
