Club chief tells Tottenham transfer target that Bayern Munich has its limits over contract extension wages

The forward group is a position that Tottenham Hotspur wants to strengthen this summer. The north London club wants more options that allow them to create chances and score goals.

Various players are connected to Spurs to fill this role on the squad, and one of them is Bayern Munich’s Serge Gnabry, whose contract expires in 2023. The Bundesliga side has to decide whether they can agree on the financial terms of an extension or sell him this summer.

Bayern Munich’s sports director, Hasan Salihamidzic, confirmed in statements to Sport1 (via Mundo Deportivo) that they will not give Gnabry “a deadline.” However, the club chief warns that the German champion has “limits” that he will never exceed.

“We try to offer the best to each player, but we have limits, and he must decide. Gnabry is great, I like him a lot, and I would be delighted if he stays. We have had many conversations, and we will have more. We will not give him a deadline,” Salihamidzic said.

Gnabry is the second-highest scorer for the German champion this year, only behind the striker Robert Lewandowski. As a result, he wants a new deal that reflects his production.

Bild recently reported that the winger would earn around €17-million to €19-million per year in the proposal by Bayern Munich, but Gnarby might not be satisfied with the offer.
