£66 million ace told he would thrive under Antonio Conte at Tottenham

Juventus striker Dušan Vlahovic has been linked with a move away from the Italian club in recent months.

The 22-year-old has not been at his best since joining the Turin giants, and he has been linked with a potential exit.

Former Serie A player Massimo Brambati has now claimed that Vlahovic should look to play for Antonio Conte at Tottenham Hotspur.

He believes that Vlahovic would improve in terms of fitness under the Italian manager and his style of play would bring the best out of the Serbian international as well.

The 22-year-old was a prolific striker for Fiorentina and he has the potential to develop into a world-class goalscorer.

Tottenham could use another reliable striker in their ranks and Vlahovic could be a smart long-term acquisition.

However, Juventus spent £66 million for his services and they are likely to demand a premium from Tottenham if they decide to come calling.

Harry Kane has been linked with a move away from Tottenham over the last few seasons and it will be interesting to see if the England international decides to pursue a new challenge in the upcoming seasons.

If that happens, Conte will need to bring in a quality goalscorer and Vlahovic could be the ideal long-term replacement for the England international.

Despite not being at his best, Vlahović has scored seven goals this season, and he could improve substantially under a top-class manager like Conte.

Brambati explained that Conte had a positive influence on Romelu Lukaku during their time together at Inter Milan and he could have a similar impact on Vlahovic as well.

“Under Conte, he would be at least five or six kilograms less and, in a season, he would score between 30-35 goals, given his style of play,” Brambati said to Tuttomercatoweb.

“We saw it with (Romelu) Lukaku at Inter.”
