£60M+ Bid In Says Spanish Stn

According to a local radio station in Spain, Spurs ARE pursuing Giovani Lo Celso.

The quote is from an on air show, then Tweeted by the station, Ondecero.

Carlos Hidalgo: ‘The Tottenham offers about 68 million euros for Lo Celso, of which he @RealBetis would take 42 million (for the transfer rights of other teams)’

Again, this is in stark contrast to the line peddled by all the mainstream football press a few weeks ago, that the Lo Celso to Tottenham deal was dead.

Does this mean that Christian Eriksen’s ‘training alone in China’ story has a darker underbelly to it?

I think not.

Poch told the press himself in the last few days that the separation was to safeguard the recovery of the 27-year-old.

‘Christian is here because he expects to play, maybe Sunday against Juventus or against Manchester United. He had small, minor surgery after the final, similar to Ben Davies, and that is why today rather than training with the group, rather training alone and trying to avoid the risk and see if he’s available to play on Sunday.

Metro

Could the Dane still leave Spurs?

Of course, however the Harry Hotspur blog understands that Eriksen’s departure may well not influence Lo Celso’s arrival.

Indeed, an ITK post earlier today, the suggestion is that Levy is doing his upmost to bring in the Argentine from Real Betis.

Love that spelling ‘Ericksson’, you managed three separate errors – gotta be a record.

The game has changed gazza and it ain’t changing back. Just like you can’t leave your front door open now. How can you expect them youts to be hungry when their belly’s are already full is one way of looking at it. Not that I’m siding with the little brats. Haringey borough fc vs QPR on Wednesday. Les and his lot. I’ll have a chat with les and ask him what made him think he was a striker coach.

I agree that while Ericksson is a very good player, he goes missing too often in big games and needs competition for his position in the team . We should only keep him this year if he signs a new contract . Otherwise, we must sell . It has been proven that we cannot win trophies with just CE, DA and Eril Lamela . Those three are not consistent enough and CE and DA have had to play too many games. We need two more players( attacking midfielders ) in the squad to challenge CE and DA and put us in a position to have a very strong 11 each and every game . Teams that win trophies have two very strong 11’s, we are close but need a little more QUALITY depth in a few areas ( attacking midfield and back up striker are two ) . Lamela should be sold and a more consistent and available talent bought in . We should sign Lo Celso and Zanolio whether Ericksson stays or leaves. Minimum one .

We managed to get into the Champion’s League by the skin of our teeth last season.
Lack of consistency with certain regularly selected players has been a major problem. Lack of real speed and pace in has been evident on the pitch. The balance has been lopsided as a result of these limitations. Seriously poor decision making and poor dead ball usage are another problem but effort and team spirit have just about made up for all the above deficiencies. Still we were way off any sign of a real challenge for The Premiership Title. We cannot keep all the players, many over rated, others underrated, and expect significant change in outcomes.

I see this present window as a make or break opportunity for Tottenham’s chances of success next season. We need new players with better balance, speed and consistency in all positions on the field. That necessitates removing names from the first team squad and replacing them with other names and faces. Whether its incoming players or promoted players being deemed good enough matters not to me. Inconsistency must no longer be tolerated with the patience and optimism it has been because the team will likely suffer failure. Most observers would contend with good reason Tottenham have been over achieving for some time now. That’s unlikely to continue with the present policy. And any potential fall will have damaging consequences that may take a long time to remedy.

I sincerely hope you’re right because CE badly needs competition for his place to lift his game, hopefully it will also allow him to be rested. I bet Levy is think “if I buy Lo Celso I won’t have to increase CE’s wages”. He thinks like that you know being the tight little bastard he is.

Greetings, Tappa.

Wolves coming back up into PL was very good for PL as a whole. There are no free victories against them. They play an honest and well-coached match that is intended to try to win instead of a draw. Every time out, regardless of opposition. Even the strongest squads must show up well against Wolves, or risk getting beaten by a squad that quite frankly has several names in it that should be better known.

City are not sh*t by any stretch, but it goes to show that if a squad shows up with any weaknesses in the 11 places against Wolves, Wolves stand a great chance of making them pay.

I really appreciate squads like that. Squads that even as underdogs force the opposition to be certain to be strong in every position due to a hard-nosed attempt to strip all 3 points from the favorite.

Its all coming together. Poch nar fuck about. At Silverstone How relaxed whilst holding in the excitement did he look. He knows his squad gonna be strong strong. My mates son (Tottenham foundation) who watches that under 23s a lot says troy parrot will be better than Kane in half the time. Bold statement. I’ve seen him a few times live. Way beyond his years. Wicked off the ball too. He looked good in the Liverpool game at the lamex though the inept Wayne Barratt never gave him long enough due to fucking Jansen.

Hope we do get lo celso. That would give us a fighting chance for trophies ,especially if Eriksson ,Rose and Toby stay .But we have been here before, just when we thought we had a deal ,we lose the player.
Shame these deals didn’t happen last season, we might have actually won the champions league.
I can’t understand why it takes so long to get deals signed .
