Splish Splash, Levy’s takin’ a bath.
Tottenham have signed midfielder Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon for an initial club-record fee of £53.8million.
The net expenditure of Tottenham Hotspur Football club over the last 5 seasons is now an eye watering £38million.
The deal for Ndombele, who has agreed a six-year contract, could eventually be worth 70 million euros (£62.77million), according to the French club.
“We are delighted to announce the signing of Tanguy Ndombele from Olympique Lyonnais. The France international central midfielder has signed a contract with the club until 2025.”
THFC
Said the club website …through gritted teeth.
Lyon said in their statement:
“Olympique Lyonnais thanks Tanguy Ndombele for his involvement with the club since his arrival in 2017 and congratulates him for his professionalism and performance.”

Translation: He’s not a nutter, honest guv.
Should Tanguy be a flop, then so be it. At least Baldy did as he was told for once. This is an extraordinary achievement in itself.
All anyone sane has ever been after is something that at least has the appearance of somebody building a football team.
What we’ve being enduring – up until this breakthrough – is some weird financial portfolio of anti-football nonsense.
Less of that.
And more of this, please.

Hahahah
By ‘credit’, you must mean ‘a good shoeing, followed by a wedgie and then throwing in a skip’?
I’ve absolutely no idea ??♂️
This has literally done nothing to their balance. Watch when the outgoings happen. More needed, this should av been done long ago.
Like pulling teeth.
Ooh double bubble
Here here. We had the best defence in the league 3 years ago, unbeaten at home and beaten only twice all season. Instead of adding a bit more quality to the squad to have a proper punt at the league we sold the best RB in the league to a main rival & replaced him with a headbanger from Ligue 1 for half the money. Maybe if Levy had shown ambition our main play-maker wouldn’t be looking to skiddaddle.
That goes without saying ?

I have actually sussed it.
The reason Levy bought this new fellah is because he can sell the old Dembele shirts with minimal changes and people think they are getting the new Ndombele one.
Gotta give him credit for that
That goes without saying ?
Swallow, that should read swallow ?
It has been stated on Sky Sports that we have withdrawn form the Lo Celso. It is believed that Levy might return when Eriksen is sold. Back to the same old all, old all, I am afraid, which is selling to buy. I knew it was too good to last.
Scouring all the sources I know, online and off, to get any rumours at all about other players. A few mentioning LeCelso but more because we have been linked before rather than any real desire to sign him. What I am hearing (from good and bad sources alike) is that the next step is sell. I was hoping Levy had changed, but it appears he is firmly sitting on selling a few players before he is even contemplating who to bring in.
Harry – please tell me I am wrong and we have a list of players and Levy has started on next in the list – as I pointed out yesterday, even before you consider losing players, we are at least 5 QUALITY players short.
Mr Bungle should just go out and buy the players Poch wants. Simples. It’s not rocket science is it? The little dimwit has cost us silverware for sure with his daft transfer dealings that could have been handled better by a 8 year old with experience of Football Manager. He must know what a joke he is? Hopefully this signing is the first of many for our coach and not for enic’s bank balance.
Levy will be locked in a damp dark cheese room somewhere in the bowels of the yet to be named new destination. Beads of sweat dripping down his shiny dome as he anxiously awaits the news that the Eriksen money has arrived and zero net spend nirvana has returned
When you compare those stats to the fact we lost 20 matches last season that’s very worrying. We still need further investment and improvement in the squad.
Unfortunately I think Levy will rest on his laurels and dine out royally for many months on the fact he has done the absolute minimum of what is necessary to move the club on to prove to the sheeple he’s even more magnanimus than we give him credit for.
He must hate Poch for probably threatening to walk and having to dip into the revenue earned from tv money, finishing fourth and getting to the CL final. This deal will at least be 60M that’s not going into uncle Joe’s pocket. How will he manage?
Let’s just hope for more arrivals,is that too much to ask?
We knew what you meant mate! I’m just intrigued now as to what “seallow” means?
Yes but is he any good …. asking for a friend
Those who haven’t should. Check out shoreditch nomadic community gardens. (East London) Some talented creative people there. Decent coffee and cake too. I love my city? just saying.
One seallow Doth not a summer make……
Jump up and down and be happy when the squad has actually been strengthened from front to back. When we actually have strength in depth ….
Siiiiiiing if your spuuuringey
Sing if your happy that way. hey! ??
Boro vs St albans at coles park on saturday.
“We’re just a name on a bus stop
Name on a buuuuuus stop.???. Chairman akee put your hands in your pockets too.
Personally, I think this is a step in the right direction, but we still need more. AllI have ever wanted is Levy to not necessarily changing his spots, but just spend more wisely. We spend (excluding last year) £70m a year, I just wanted that on 1 good player rather than 7 punt and hopes.
