Back in 2021, Klinsmann revealed to FourFourTwo that he would love to manage Tottenham one day.
โTottenham is always something youโd love to do, because itโs your club, you share so many emotional moments with them and you know lots of people who are still there,โ he said. โIโm still in touch with Gary Mabbutt and other people around the club, so who knows? Maybe one day.โ
โI would love to go back to management one day, with the right people at the right place, and hopefully at the right time,โ he says. โI work here in the US for ESPN every week and I follow everything in Europe, all the competitions.โ
South Korea did quite well in the recently concluded World Cup and they will be hoping to build a side for the future and make their mark in the next marquee event. They managed to beat Portugal in the group stages and make it to the knockout rounds of the tournament in Qatar.
It remains to be seen whether the 58-year-old gets an opportunity to manage in the Premier League and Tottenham in the coming seasons.
Current manager Antonio Conte will be out of contract at the end of the season and Tottenham have not managed to agree on an extension with him yet.
The Italian could be on his way out of the club at the end of the season and Spurs have been linked with a number of managers in recent months.
Former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has been linked with a return to the London club and it remains to be seen how the situation unfolds.
Meanwhile, Klinsmann remains a fan favourite at Tottenham and he was a reliable goal scorer for the London club during his time in the Premier League.
