Sterling is infuriating… yesterday was the first game in a long time he made an effort to pass to people who were in a better position than he was as opposed to dawdling on the ball or nearly always choosing the wrong pass. Its no coincidence Kane is scoring when some half decent crosses or thru balls are played…

Yes and I’m glad the Sterling and Southgate knockers have finally shut up!

I agree, Italy for me, will be in the final and a major hurdle for England. In fact Italy have the edge if we meet them.

Not quite sure how tired they were! I believe Sweden and Ukraine between them put on 11 substitutes the other night!

Had a feeling we’d win 4-0 tonight but one should remember Ukraine fought back against Holland and took 4 points off Portugal in qualifiers, so, generally speaking, they’re not pants!

Feel sure we’ll beat Denmark, even if they were to take a shock lead after two minutes! (got a feeling that may happen!). Apart from anything else, I can’t see them beating us at Wembley twice running. The final I’m not quite so sure about but I think we will probably win it, Spain being my preferred opponents, though.

England looked a very professional team tonight and we have strength in depth. The good times are about to roll; wish I could say the same about Spurs but they are going nowhere, I’m afraid. Extraordinary to think of the money we wasted on Sven and Capello and how an unheralded manager from our own country is getting a much better tune out of England’s players and getting them to play possession based football rather than going crazily gung ho.

Gteat performance today! Lads gaining confidence, but I still think Italy is the team to beat. Home games don’t hurt.

The odds were so ridiculous. Even Marcus Rashford was just 9/4 to score with England to win??!! He’s not even playing. Kane was even shorter. Such a joke. The bookies know full well who’s winning.

So set up for England. Glad I backed em couple weeks ago.
The perfect plan. ‘Delta variant explodes because of summer revellers cheering on England’s Euro campaign. Blah blah blah. Lockdown forever.

Goes to show why the bookies are fabulously wealthy – there’s no shortage of dim bulbs out there willing to throw their money away. I’m looking forward to seeing Sancho finally get a game, the kid was tearing it up in the Bundesliga. If England win this tournament it will be in spite of, not due to, Garry Waistcoat.

England should win comfortably against a tired Ukraine. The Danes, however, will be a tougher prospect.

The fact that any matches are in Baku is a disgrace. Lovely place I’m sure, but the internet can’t even seem to agree if it’s even in Europe!

No value for England. Or Denmark. UEFA out done themselves again choosing Baku to host this match. Utter twonks. About 27 people there, no Czechs or Danes hardly….miles and miles from either country. You gotta wonder how these idiots keep their jobs.

English fans seem to to be underestimating Ukraine. They won’t be pushovers and judging by how poor England have been in attack, I would fancy Ukraine to go though.

I’m not surprised, it’s a quarter final, Ukraine aren’t exactly San Marino here, and offering them at 7 or even 8-1 as I have seen is outrageous value in a 2 horse race!
