4 Late Injury Tests Ahead Of Today’s Big London Derby

By The Boy -

Giovani Lo Celso is looking unlikely to participate in this afternoon’s clash in Tottenham. The Argentine has been out for some time now with a muscle injury to his left thigh and the suggestion is that he might be available to make the bench at least for our next game against LASK, at home in the Europa League, next Thursday.

Gareth Bale is listed by Physioroom as being 75% ready to play. As per my team selection, I have feeling that Bale will play. Maybe I’m wildly wrong, but I think José appreciates how important the derby is, and that as far as protecting the 31-year-old, a Premier League game may be the shrewder option.

Eric Dier is listed as 50% ready to play, and again, my belief is that if there’s no threat to the boy then Mourinho will want him out there today.

West Ham’s Ryan Fredericks is also due a late fitness test, having spent the International break recovering from a thigh injury he picked up beforehand. Arthur Masuaku has a knee injury but is listed as 75% available.

I don’t think I have ever got a score prediction right before so I will carry on
3-2 all this worry about Wet Spam being so dangerous is going right over my head but we do seem to let in goals nearly every game.

I think we just have to out score them, which we will. I’m still a bit ambivalent about our CB’s to be honest. MA is a beast, controlling him is the key IMHO:)

Spurs 4, Spam 1.. No messing around today. Win and we move up to 2nd… Would love to see Bale play a half. New older wiser evolved Bale 👌 If he starts my moneys on Bale to score a free kick. Show all the Tintin fan boys how it’s really done.. Amazed he wants to play on the right wing though. 4 years or so ago he was saying his best position was CAM, his stats for us and Wales backed this up. He played better for Madrid on the wing though. Truth is he will do damage from anywhere.

Expecting a goal glut? A win is a win when an ugly 1 nil to the Spurs will suffice moving us closer to the top!
