Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has been linked with a move away from the club at the end of the season.
The 29-year-old has a contract with the London club until the summer of 2024 and the Premier League club might need to consider the idea of selling him at the end of the season if he does not sign a renewal with them.
Daniel Levy will not want to lose a player of his quality on a free transfer at the end of next season.
According to British agent Haydn Dodge, the 29-year-old has hinted that he could look to stay at Tottenham for the foreseeable future.
Apparently, the 29-year-old has now taken matters into his own hands because the player’s agent isn’t strong enough to deal with Daniel Levy.
Dodge believes that the Tottenham chairman is unlikely to let the England international leave for a reasonable fee and Kane’s suitors might not be keen on splashing the cash on him.
The striker will be In his 30s soon and his injury issues are only going to become more apparent with time.
“He [Kane] is actually giving off all the right signals when it comes to the prospect of staying, but I think that’s because his agent, who is his brother, isn’t strong enough to go head-to-head with Daniel Levy, so Kane has taken control of the situation a bit himself,” Dodge said in an exclusive interview with CaughtOffside.
It remains to be seen how the situation develops now.
Kane has been in outstanding form this season scoring 17 goals in the Premier League. He has been linked with a number of top European clubs over the last few seasons and his decision to continue at Tottenham would be a major boost for the fans as well as the Tottenham dressing room at the end of the season.
Spurs must hold on to players like him if they want to challenge for the major trophies in the coming seasons.
