Tottenham Hotspur were reportedly keen on signing Federico Chiesa this summer.
However, a report from TBR Football claims that the 26-year-old Italian international snubbed the opportunity to join the North London club in favour of a move to Liverpool.
The winger turned down approaches from Arsenal and Chelsea as well before completing a €15 million (£13m) move to the Reds.

Chiesa will look to prove himself in the Premier League with Liverpool and it remains to be seen whether the Italian can hit the ground running. Meanwhile, Spurs have strengthened their attacking unit with the signings of Dominic Solanke and Wilson Odobert. They will hope the two players can help them improve.
Even though Chiesa has turned them down, they have adequate depth in the attack and Ange Postecoglou will be happy with the options at his disposal.
It will be interesting to see if Spurs can do well this season and push for Champions League qualification. They will be expected to do well in the domestic trophies as well. Spurs will compete in the UEFA Europa League and they have the means to do well in the competition as well.
Tottenham showed great improvement under Postecoglou last season and they will look to build on that this season. They have brought in quality players and the fans will expect impressive performances. If their new signings manage to hit the ground running, Spurs could be a real force this season.
