24-year-old set for major payrise if he joins Tottenham in January

Galatasaray winger Kerem Akturkoglu has been linked with the move away from Turkey in recent weeks.

A report from Fotospor claims that Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United are pursuing the 24-year-old Turkish winger and it remains to be seen whether they come forward with a concrete proposal to sign him in the coming months.

The report further states that the winger currently earns around £5,000-per-week, but a move to Tottenham would see his wages rise to £40,000-per-week.

The 24-year-old winger has been quite impressive for Galatasaray and he scored 10 goals and picked up 14 assists across all competitions last season. Akturkoglu has started the current season in fine form as well, scoring five goals and picking up seven assists.

The Turkish international is expected to develop into a top-class attacker and Tottenham could certainly use someone like him.

The player mainly operates as the left-sided winger and he will add goals and creativity to the Spurs attack. Players like Richarlison have not been able to live up to the expectations and Tottenham could certainly use more quality in the final third.

Akturkoglu has the technical attributes to thrive in the Premier League and he could prove to be a superb long-term addition for the North London outfit.

Apparently, Galatasaray were hoping to tie him down to a new long-term contract, but the player has decided against a renewal. The development will come as a major boost for clubs like Tottenham and West Ham.

It remains to be seen whether the development encourages the London clubs to come forward with an official proposal to sign the player in January.
