22-year-old La Liga ace ‘pretty high up’ on Tottenham’s transfer wishlist

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a number of goalkeepers in recent months.

According to a report from Ben Jacobs, the London club are now keeping tabs on the Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili.

Jacobs wrote on CaughtOffside: “Spurs are looking to replace Hugo Lloris. They have Raya on their radar. Valencia goalkeeper Giori Mamardashvili is another name pretty high up on the list of possibilities.”

The 22-year-old has been an important player for the Spanish club this season and his performances have attracted the attention of the Premier League side.

Tottenham are looking for a quality replacement for Hugo Lloris and the 22-year-old would be a superb long-term acquisition. The Georgian goalkeeper is still quite young and he is likely to improve further with coaching and experience.

The opportunity to join Tottenham could be an exciting proposition for the player. He would get to test himself at a higher level in the Premier League and playing against world-class attackers in England will only accelerate his development.

Furthermore, the opportunity to work with a world-class manager like Antonio Conte could prove to be hard to turn down.

If Tottenham manage to finish in the top four and secure Champions League qualification for the next season, they will be an attractive destination for most players and there is no reason why they cannot attract the 22-year-old La Liga goalkeeper.

As for Valencia, the Spanish outfit might not be willing to lose their star player anytime soon but Tottenham have the financial resources and pull to get the deal across the line.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham come forward with an official bid for the player at the end of the season.
