20-year-old pushing for Tottenham move after refusing to sign contract extension

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly looking to sign the talented young goalkeeper Dylan Thompson from Norwich.

A report from the Sun claims that the 20-year-old goalkeeper is currently training with the North London club and he has refused to extend his contract with Norwich City.

The talented young goalkeeper is keen on moving to the Premier League club and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham can get the deal done.

Spurs will have to pay compensation to the Championship outfit and it remains to be seen whether the two parties can sort out an agreement soon. Thompson is set to join the Tottenham Academy and he will look to establish himself as a first-team player in the coming seasons.

The 20-year-old is highly rated in English football and he has a big future ahead of him. Tottenham star Hugo Lloris is set to leave the club in the coming months and his contract expires at the end of the season. It will be interesting to see if Thompson can establish himself as the backup goalkeeper at the club next season.

Guglielmo Vicario has been signed as the first-choice goalkeeper for the North London outfit but they will need a capable backup option for him. Thompson certainly has the talent to develop into a quality goalkeeper in the future and it remains to be seen whether Ange Postecoglou can get the best out of him in the coming months.
