£199k-a-week playmaker set to decide between Tottenham or Juventus

Tottenham Hotspur are once again linked with a move for Franck Kessie, who joined Barcelona last summer after his contract at AC Milan expired.

However, Kessie’s time at the Camp Nou has been limited, with only seven starts in the 2022/23 La Liga campaign.

Under new manager Ange Postecoglou, Tottenham have already made significant signings to address key weaknesses in the squad.

James Maddison fills the void of a top-class attacking midfielder that had not been filled since Christian Eriksen, while Guglielmo Vicario is brought in as a potential replacement for club captain Hugo Lloris in goal who has had a poor last couple of seasons.

The club is also expected to bolster their defense with the potential signing of Micky van de Ven as confirmed by Romano earlier today.

In terms of departures, Hojbjerg is one the players expected to leave. Atletico Madrid are strongly interested in signing him and the player himself is not in the manager’s plans at Tottenham.

Franck Kessie has emerged as a strong candidate to replace Hojbjerg.

According to The Times reports Barcelona have already agreed to loan Kessie to Juventus. However, the 26-year-old midfielder is still considering his options, being aware of Tottenham’s interest.

Given the potential departure of Hojbjerg and the need to strengthen their midfield, Kessie’s potential arrival at Tottenham would not come as a surprise.

But the ball is in the player’s court now who needs to decide whether he wants to join Italian giants Juventus or the North London club.
