11 O’clocker: Caulker Back To Spurs

Anyone who says believes we need a striker wants their head looking at. You build a team from the back. We started to do  that once, a while back, did quite well, but then sold him to Vincent Tan for a tidy sum.

From our very own ufluckinplick:

On a side note, being an Enfield boy in exile in Hong Kong I still hear bits of info from the tribe back home. My nephew recently bumped into Caulker, apparently they have some vague acquaintance.

Apparently there’s a clause in Caulker’s contract that should Cardiff get relegated Spurs have first option to take him back.

The agreement being that Cardiff are only liable to pay a percentage of the agreed transfer fee. If Spurs don’t take him back then Cardiff owe the full amount.

Sounds like a Levy deal to me…the question is will Levy want the player back who has proved he can play Premier League level and has played basically every game (amazing he moves clubs and stays injury free for the season) or take the money.

I’d prefer to see Caulker back and ‘coached’ as a defender and move Dawson on.

Caulker’s view is that he is happy to come back as long as he gets games.
