Footballing superstar and finger tricks icon Dele Alli could hopefully be on his way out of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, according to our source close to Spurs.
There’s a lesson to be learned here. My local chip shop doesn’t deliver. The best chippers refuse to deliver because they all know their glorious fried foods will be horribly impaired by the process. What the odds of Dele Alli making come back under Mourinho, will Spurs be the boy’s next permanent club? It’s difficult to say, but for the best value, I recommend that you get the Ladbrokes sign up offer.
After many years threatening to deliver, Dele Alli has met José Mourinho, one of the most successful living managers of all time. For me, Dele’s demise was inevitable once a true top flight coach was brought in to manage the boy.
Who knows where the Milton Keynes’ lad might land, my considered guess is a club where the now 24-year-old can attempt to rekindle his form and reputation.
Working out quite who might take on this José Mourinho failure is a challenging puzzle to solve.
I’ve been discussing Dele Alli’s flaws for years, I was branded a racist and worse. Now along comes a Portuguese serial winner who agrees with my analysis. Funny old game.
I’m sure there’s a club out there somewhere that needs a new handshake
It was suggested by a sports journalist that Alli was not the same player because of all the hamstring strains he has suffered. To counter this, he has done a lot of gym work and bulked up. This has resulted in him losing some of his athletic movement and speed. Some players do peak very young, either because of injury or because they are not strong enough mentally. What Levy won’t like is the constant denigration of one of his assets to the detriment of his transfer value. I think we will only know if he will ever regain his previous form when he joins another club, probably on loan because whilst Jose is at Spurs, he has little future.
Leatherhead coming for a beating later. Up the spuringey.
Dele is not finished.
He just needs to go on loan somewhere to realise what he has here & appreciate where he is/was.
Dele has forgotten how hard it was at MK, its a world away from where is is now.
He’s lost that aggression alot of ppl criticised him for, that made him the player he was even though he’d sometimes get reds.
In my opinion he needs that back.
He’s a flower pressing pretender
I’m not saying that there’s no chance that Dele peaked early, however he ‘delivered’ enough to get to a World Cup semi final. He scored twice in our historic Champions League win over Real Madrid, this was all before the age of 22.
Are there many English players in recent history that have achieved this kind of thing? Rooney I would say was the last before him. Ok, so Dele is suddenly ‘finished’ at 23, we’ll go with that for now shall we?
Dele needs a coach to bring him back, however he now has a manager who has never favoured young players, who want’s him out while keeping the abysmal Lucas Moura in the side.
If he leaves he needs a manager who can coach expand his game, Jose isn’t that sort of manager. What sort of manager he his these days, I’m not quite sure. Ruthless “horrible c*nts”? Thank goodness for Bale’s return, otherwise we’d be looking at 6th again for sure…
23 shots on goal for his team vs none against. That’s the sort of manager he is
That’s the first home game where we’ve had anything like dominant possession at home, and we still only scored one goal and didn’t win. The kind of manager he is or more ‘lazy players on duty? He needs an attacking coach by the looks of it…
If not for a great or lucky performance by their goalie we would’ve won easily.
That’s why Jose praised our team.
Yes we probably didn’t do enough in the 2nd half to win, we played like we were up 3-0, but we have 2 more important games ahead in the next few days so I think Jose has that in mind.
A draw is not a disaster.
Chelsea & Man.U have much more to worry about than we do
We have a lot of games right now, so i’ll give Jose some slack for now. However it was the same last season, we don’t create enough at home under him, it’s like we just don’t want to get beaten rather than wanting to win
You need to remember as I’m sure you know, since Jose came in we’d be 4th last season so I think we did pretty well from where we were.
Look at Man.C today with half the problems we had last season.
5 – 2 just missing you 2 main strikers, we had worse than that last season.
Don’t forget all the bad luck we had with var too.
We’ll have a much better season this season, with a better squad already.
Can’t wait to see Sergio on Tues night
“Some slack? You shoulda been giving the new manager some of that from the off
Why? He’s unbeatable according to people like you, best manager in the world etc. Someone that good needs no slack do they?
Why? Coz he’s changing the dead team that’s why. Struth
Six months and they’re still dead? Thank f*ck he’s not a paramedic!! 😂
Carry on hating. You enjoy it.
I’m not hating anyone, I just like nice football because that’s what you do if your team is Spurs.
I want my club to win stuff by any means necessary at the moment. The pretty football can wait
Let’s see the winning then. Bale will bail us out but he can’t do it all on his own.
The winning is coming. Dangerous team soon.
Wanting the very best for my club because I love it is hating?
You go on loving your Mr Chelsea and the bald guy who doesn’t back the managers properly. If that’s good enough for you…
He’s my manager now. Fk his ex’s
Actually it’s almost 9 months!! 😂
Remind me what poch the loser did in his first 9 month’s again. Actually remind me what he did in nearly 6 years again. I checked the history books and I can’t see anything. Maybe they forgot to put it in. A saw something about our heaviest EVER European defeat at home. Nothing else. Your hero.
Yeah ok, I’ll remind you;
1. Lifted the club to its highest ever league position since the Premier League started.
2. Turned the club from top 4 outsiders into Champions League regulars for the first time in our entire history. Four seasons running.
3. Reached a Champions League final for the first time in our entire history. Not even the greatest manager we ever had got us that far in Europe.
4. Achieved all this on a net spend ranked 17th in the Premier League over that 5 year period. Along with a wage bill ranked 7th in the league. 350m a year below Utd’s and about 140m a year less than even Arsenal pay their players.
You have to win a f*ck of a lot more football matches than you lose to achieve that.
So for someone to call the guy a loser, someone who’d take the Mickey Mouse Cup (that no c*nt on the planet cares about) over that list above, means they clearly have a twisted and irrational dislike of the man. It’s not logical.
No fan worth their salt would belittle those achievements, only a bit of a weirdo.
Nope. None of that in the history books. I call him a loser coz he’s won nothing. Could call him a failure. You can dress it up as much as you like, the FACT is HE’S A NON WINNER
You can’t decide if you want the Mickey Mouse Cup over a place at Europe’s top table to compete with the best. Cannot be taken seriously….
Winning that cup is more than just about winning that cup.
Blaming José for the PLAYERS not being clinical enough in their finishing?? (& their keeper playing a blinder)
Ever thought of taking your coaching badges?
Who’s in charge of organising the coaching? After Jose arrived, most home games we’ve had less possession than the visiting team. I hope today was a turning point in that regard but even so we didn’t really do a great deal with the domination of the ball. It’s as if unless we attack on the break then we don’t have any cutting edge.
Jose & his staff have only been in charge half a season.
How long did it take Poch to have us playing his way.
It takes time East Stand.
In a short space of time Jose has done alot.
Once the defensive problems are sorted [of which we had many when he came in] the attack can play freely
We had one of the best defences in the league a few seasons ago. The main reason is because Levy sold Walker and didn’t replace him properly.
He then let Dembele decline and did nothing to replace him or Wanyama so the back four had nothing in front of them either. It’s little wonder we started conceding more goals.
Jose sits us deep to defend, so the defending has got better but the goal threat is diminished. Any manager can do that and now Sonny is out for a while so even less goal threat.
We are Spurs, attack, play, have the ball ffs…
Bla bla fkin bla. Old lane.
Don’t like facts do you…
Old lane is a fact
So is the debt of 850m to build the new one.
Not worth worrying about. More than £850mil is gonna pass through the club in the next 25 years
Meanwhile we pay 100m less a year on player wages than any club in the big six?
For now
“He needs an attacking coach? All he needs is the right players and he’s getting them. This time next year after the 3 windows we’ll be bashing up teams on a regulars. Simple. You need a supporter “coach
So three windows, that’s one more window right, so after January? He’ll have had over a year in charge too. One thing’s for sure, he ain’t spending over 300m like he did at Utd…
Bale might help save his skin.
How’s that one more window? This is his first. He may get some in in the second, by the third most of pochs lot will be gone with more coming in to replace them to complete the rebuild (this time next year)
No, he had last January too, so this January will be three windows, including the summer one we are still in. That will be three windows and over a year in charge…
January was more about getting the rubbish out. Jan’s not a proper window and you know it. (Cup tied players)
Kane was injured, Son was injured and Levy did nothing in January and he expected top four still. These people aren’t fit to run my club properly…
My clubs doing OK now. The best of everything (players to match in transit) I’m happy with the direction in which my club is heading. Many years of joy a head.
Who did we get rid of in January? We signed two, but can’t remember anyone leaving. Because nobody did…
Didn’t Erikson leave in Jan? Can’t remember
I stand corrected he did, although that had been on the cards for ages, Levy pi**ed everyone about rather than let him go in the previous summer. I wouldn’t say he was a bad player at all on his day but his time was up with us. Levy just dragged the whole ting out for a couple of mill… typical rubbish from him.
See, being corrected wasn’t painful was it. Good way to learn, learning can make one not stupid
Last January Maureen was too busy playing games with a stacked schedule, he was getting to know what we had and was too busy preparing our team and getting results.. The window before that was Pochs. The transfer window right now is really Maureens first window. It is no coincidence that problem areas have been adressed and quality players have joined us.
Apart from Bale they probably need to prove their quality yet, but I get what you’re saying. However in January he’ll have been in charge for over a year. We’ll need to be in the reckoning for top 4 by then or Levy might get an itch trigger finger again.
He got used that Champions League money under Poch, he’s not paying Jose 15m a year to not get in the Champions League…
He won’t understand that, its all the hate see
He won’t understand that, its all the hate see
Not bad work. Imagine this time next year. Actually that would be positive wouldn’t it. I know you struggle with that
No I would not, I just want the results and the football we play to match the hype.
I don’t get that excited about a manager that’s a Chelsea and Utd cast off. Sacked by both of them but he’s good enough for us? Do we have no pride, no identity anymore? Would you take Wenger too?
The levels of sycophancy (look it up) are quite nauseating to me.
Welcome him as the flipping messiah just cos he won some big stuff a long time ago, so did Capello and Van Gaal, would you want them too?
Look if he does what people keep telling me is on the flipping tin then great, until then my tongue is going nowhere near his Chelsea backside.
Win big and earn it, earn your Spurs ffs… it’s a privilege to have him is it? Well I expect a lot more of him than any manager we’ve ever had in that case.
I don’t care about players and managers ex clubs anymore. (I’ve lived through raincoat man and sol) and realise there’s no loyalty in football as well as there’s no loyalty in a pound note. There is only loyalty left in fans, (most of us anyway) No good managers are virgins.
It’s his second window, there was one in January. Gedson, Bergwijn remember? Do keep up…
Good signings
“He needs an attacking coach? All he needs is the right players and he’s getting them. This time next year after the 3 windows we’ll be bashing up teams on a regulars. Simple. You need a supporter “coach
You saying barring a few games when José took over that it’s José’s fault Alli has been out of form for the last 2 seasons? Not sure how that works.
Any pearls of wisdom as to why he’s been dropped by England also? Gareth ‘Mr Nice’ Southgate not able to coach him either?
He just needs to put some hard work in & stop being a petulant, sulky kid!
I didn’t say that his form has slumped since Jose arrived, Dele’s been inconsistent for about two years. I’m just saying that Jose is the last coach he needs to rediscover his form. As for Southgate not picking him, of course he won’t if he’s not playing well for his club…
“Jose is the last coach he needs to rediscover his form” Ndom?
Tanguy is a completely different situation, he just needed to settle. A lot of players from abroad need time to settle, which is why those people trashing Tanguy did my head in.
Dele has to rediscover his form and for me he has to expand his game to do that. Either learn to play deeper or develop a more expansive passing game, that kind of thing.
He has loads of talent, that’s obvious and a top coach will say “you’re 23, you could have another 10-11 years at the top but you need to evolve from a drifting number 10 into a playmaker or another role” that’s coaching innit ffs?!
What if Jose (like me) doesn’t think he has loads of talent?
Well Jose has already said he has talent (keep up) he said the same about Hazard and Mata and sold them. Anyone going to say that Hazard and Mata aren’t talented?
Jose likes to focus on a flair player who’s got lots of natural ability and make them the root of all the teams problems. He tried it with Tanguy and Levy’s obviously reminded him that he cost over 50m less than a year ago, that didn’t work so now Dele is obviously now the ‘problem’ player.
Unless Jose gets us up the league, all this stuff will backfire. At least he’s got Gareth to save his a*se…
Yeah he’s gonna say he doesn’t rate him. You don’t want his @rs€ to be saved which tells me you don’t have my clubs best interests at heart.
It’s my club, not yours.
I wouldn’t let you in. Fkin moaner. Nothing worse than being next to a moany khunt at football. Sometimes I wanna slap’m
I’d make you pay to get in…
How? By stopping community tickets? Stop being jealous.
I’m not.
If you’re not why do you keep on mentioning it then? Is it coz you’re happy for me?
So he didn’t rate Hazard either?
All this ‘lazy’ stuff I just don’t buy either. Poch was a stickler for intense training (he killed them, remember 😂) and he was ever present in that side.
Too lazy for Maureen but not too lazy for Poch? Maybe Dele’s taken his foot off the gas, believing too much of the hype?
He was a 17 year old as a regular in the MK Dons team getting kicked about in those leagues. The boy isn’t a wimp and he has talent, all he needs is the right manager. Jose isn’t capable of restoring Dele.
Jose’s a short term vision manager, better start winning then hadn’t he…
You don’t want him to.
I do, and I want good football, for at the very least 50% of the time. You can’t argue with his record, he’s a winner blah blah blah. Great, let’s win then… ffs. It’s quite simple.
fI want my team to win, I don’t care who’s manager as long as they’re doing a good job and i expect nothing less from the ‘special one’.
Anything less than top four is complete failure.
Give him a chance to then.
Its like you want failing to happen. You need to check yourself.
No I don’t.
Agree with your analysis about him playing deeper. I would add that he could produce two very easy improvements to his game by using his left foot more (opponents know he will always look to come inside) and cut out the flicks and nutmegs that gift possession to the opposition…
He doesn’t spend much time on the ball because he doesn’t really dribble at pace or put his foot on the ball and play passes. He needs to bring some of that into his game for me…
If he ever plays for a bigger club than mine I’d be very surprised
Cant see Levy getting anywhere near what he probably wants…who realistically would want him
Out of form, not been good consistently for about two years. Buying clubs will use that to educate Levy about what to expect.
I’m not sure Levy is very happy about the situation at all, Jose is approaching a tightrope situation with Levy here. Can’t see their relationship lasting, especially if we miss out on top 4 again…
ne is going to play for 3 Lions so it is just a matter of time before Southgate uses him up and Kane is either injured or goes off form. It was nice to have him back for Southampton.
If you can pause from congratulating yourself for a moment, plenty of commentators and journalists have been making studious remarks about Alli’s demise as a footballer for some time before Mourinho arrived. Let us hope that Paul Mitchell and his black box at Monaco take him off our hands as he peaked at 21 yrs old.
I was pulling Dele for not being good enough when he was at his alleged peak.
He routinely only ever put in 30minutes of effort per game – or have you forgotten those blogs?!
Two years ago https://theboyhotspur.com/good-morning-everyone-except-dele-alli/
Swap him for Marcus. Marcus’s value is increasing by the hour. Deles the opposite
Marcus plays for a small club in the Portuguese league. He has nothing to do with this. When he hear of his move to Barca to replace Messi we can restart the conversation…
He’s my boy. Fk wot u say (as per. And he’s better than dele. Dele can’t even dribble
Like I say, if he’s as good as you say he’ll be there, cream will generally rise to the top. When he’s played in a World Cup semi final, we can restart the conversation…
You certainly ain’t the “cream when it comes to being a supporter. Protecting our past history (laugh) as you seem to think you are doing, while neglecting our present and future support. Joke ting
He’s a hot and cold player H, but he’s won many a game for us. Gus Poyet he reminds me of. Wouldn’t know why he’s on the pitch and then bang, bang a goal and an assist in 10 mins. Then he’d go back to trotting about…
He might well have peaked but at 23 there’s still time with the right coach. Joe isn’t the right manager for him right now, all about timing. Much like life in general…
