Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Udinese striker Beto.
The 25-year-old Portuguese forward scored 10 goals across all competitions last season and he is looking to take the next step in his career and join a big club.
A report from Defensa Central claims that the player’s agents are offering him around to clubs. As per the report, they have ‘contacted’ Tottenham and Real Madrid to find out if the two clubs are keen on signing the forward.
So far they have not received any positive response from the two clubs. The player’s asking price is proving to be a problem. He is valued at €30 million and it is a price no club is willing to pay.
It remains to be seen whether Udinese is willing to let him leave for a more reasonable amount this summer.
He has been a key player for the Italian outfit and they will probably want to recoup as much as possible for him.
Meanwhile, Spurs could definitely use another striker to share the goalscoring burden with Harry Kane. The signing of Richarlison has not worked out and he scored just once in the league last season.
Beto could prove to be a useful option for the North London giants if they can sign him for the right price. The player is at the peak of his career and he will be determined to make his mark in England. He has the physicality to succeed in English football as well.
