?Nike Deal Precisely What It Looks Like

By The Boy -

A source close to Tottenham Hotspur Club has told the Harry Hotspur blog that ‘one’ of the extraordinary elements in Daniel Levy’s stadium and financials announcement – is precisely what it looks like.

Regular readers will be aware that the search for a Naming Rights partner for the New Destination™ officially flatlined when it Daniel Levy was forced into offering the ‘opportunity of a lifetime’ to the business’ lenders HSBC, who graciously and swiftly declined.

Since then the highest paid chairman in the division announced…

‘In recent months we have secured an extended agreement with Nike up to 2033, one of the longest football club deals in Nike’s history.’

Which sounds great if you’re not too bright.

But we’ve been on this extremely low calorie ENIC diet of ‘firsts’ and ‘record’ thats for nigh on 20 years now.

None of them have any been of any worth to the club or the fans.

Levy is now a seasoned purveyor of Fresh Air sandwiches and luxury holidays at Windowsill Bay.

The reason it is such a long deal is quite straightforward.

Our illustrious leader had to provide further surety in order to extend the credit facility and the only recourse was to sell more rights.

The full details of the Nike deal cannot be put into the public domain for notably obvious reasons, but anyone suffering from any delusional fantasy world scenarios of this being a piece of ‘good’ business, may wish to take a seat and perhaps sip at a glass of water whilst they steady themselves for some less than ‘good’ news.

If, IF anyone reading this still has faith in this charlatan, I would love to hear why – and my special signal for you to tell me?

One of my lawyers holds access to this blog and when he post the news that I have finally been sectioned under the Mental Health Act (1983) that is your cue.

Until such time, we’re good.

Thank you, so much.

Fair point but based on our home defeat against Liverpool in fairness it was 2-1 going on 7-1!in terms of possession and chances missed. Whilst admittedly it’s taken a while zany Klopp has via astute recruitment made Liverpool serious title contenders capable of winning silverware.

No I won’t because if they win the title then they will have done well enough over the season and fully deserve it albeit after splashing the cash to a great extent.

Having said that, Guardiola seems to want to win the CL again and it might be a priority over winning the league again. That might help Liverpool.

I just think that neither them or City are that much better than us but the media talk about them like they’re miles ahead. BBC Salford bias bigging up the North West methinks…

A proven lie? I dont think you know what that means. We already had a debate in this country in the 60 ‘s about burning flags protesting (you can). He was taking a knee. If you agree or disagree with his reasons for doing it, it doesn’t matter. It’s his right to do it. I dislike nike for making crap jerseys, not because they made an ad of someone doing their constitutional right.

Dilly, my man, you’ve massively overdrawn your adjective account with that one. Please make a deposit ASAP to correct the arrears and perhaps read a bit of Hemingway. Hoddle is one of the few retired pros as commentators that I enjoy, a massive upgrade on the dross they usually roll out (thinking Neville, Redknapp and Carragher – all about as useful as a basketball bat), glad he’s on the mend.

Spot on. Levy refused to disclose the value of this extended deal because it embarrasses him and enic. Costs of the “infrastructure assets” were spiraling out of control and there was no naming rights deal in sight. So he accepted a large up-front payment from a corporate predator, who smelt blood in the water.

The full extent of his idiocy will be felt at the back end of the kit deal when it falls further and further below market value for PL clubs.

Yes very tragic news of an owner who was well respected by all the fans, fully committed to the cause ploughing millions of pounds into the club ridding the club of the debt, buying the stadium outright, culminating in living the dream of that fantasy special magic moment of seeing the Foxes win the PL title.

Seems levy will sell anything to get himself out of the project that he has managed so spectacularly badly. He absolves himself of all blame for anything that goes wrong due to being immune from any criticism due to the club’s structure. While we go cap in hand for finance we get no investment from our owner the lovely Lewis. We should nothing more. Given that the UK gave his family a home probably from persecution and educated him. When he made his money he fucked off elsewhere so we should expect nothing from him. Great guy.

We certainly didn’t educate him lol

We will only really know the rough value of the Nike deal in next years accounts!!
Woolwich were hoodwinked by Emirates with a cheap 10 year deal to get their library up and running but obviously had the property’s sales to reduce debt along with Arsene in football handcuffs for a decade.

We make much much more income than Woolwich did when they moved house!!
So we’ve got £630m draw down facility that’s a short term loan at 2.5/3.2% above libor!!
£330m debt at present

####Don’t forget over £1b in assets####🙄👏👏👏🍾 Levy wouldn’t want us to forget them😀

It’ll get turned into a very long term bond and is secured on spurs future ££££
Levy’s probably hoping for a nice big navy blue tick to go with the shirt deal, and to be fair it would be a good fit if we have to go down that road to reduce the debt before issuing bonds!

I doubt it’ll matter, the numbers look like another multi billionaire party will come in within the next couple of years which will see Daniel moved to the next yacht along from his godfather 😉
