⚠️There’s Danger Here Terriers Can Nip Spurs’ Achilles Heel

By The Boy -

Tottenham’s jaunt to West Yorkshire this weekend should be a foregone conclusion.

We’re unbeaten in each of our last seven games in all competition against Huddersfield, though only two of those meetings have come in this century!

However, could the Terriers be able to take a nasty bite out of Spurs’ achilles heel?

All three of Huddersfield’s Premier League goals this season have come from set piece situations, including the only two from throw-ins in the division this season.

Tottenham’s ability to effectively defend set pieces is almost as bad as their competency when trying to implement their own.

Mauricio Pochettino will be without one of his very best players, Christian Eriksen.

There will also be late fitness tests for both Hugo Lloris and Michel Vorm.

A win at Huddersfield on Saturday would be useful not just for adding another 3 points our Premier League total, but also getting everyone in the right place mentally for Barcelona next week.

If Poch has his wits about him, it might be a good moment to give Erik Lamela another run out. The boy has scored in his last two Premier League games, with both appearances coming as a substitute. The last player to score in three consecutive Premier League games, all from coming off the bench was Adam Le Fondre in January 2013.

Lamela’s no nonsense attitude ion the League cup was a delight and this is a player I’d want to introduce into the Champions League just while he was humming.

Huddersfield vs Spurs kicks of at 3pm tomorrow.
