Finding it impossible to type in the blog. Takes each letter 3 to 4 seconds to appear . Have to use an external app to type and then paste into the blog. Not sure if anyone else is having the same problem or it’s just that I’m special. Don’t think it’s mt android phone as all typing in other sites etc is ok.

I hope you aren`t referring to Emily, she`s all natural. As far as work she`s had in her mouth is concerned, I couldn`t say for sure, but I have some interesting ideas.

She denies having breast augmentation, like she has also denied the nose job and lip cosmetic surgery. The before photos from before she was famous don’t back this up.

      • Camus September 14, 2017 at 9:39 am

There’s always an excuse but his managerial stats at Pool are unerringly similar to those of the much-maligned Brendan Rodgers over an equal number of games.

  • gloster1861 September 14, 2017 at 9:00 am

The next CL match will be Apoel’s only hope of scoring any points in the group, so it will be like their cup final. They will be in a frenzy. Could be a difficult game to manage and I wonder if Poch will play Foyth in place of Jan?

    • OrganicPaper September 14, 2017 at 9:04 am

I think we may play a 4 man defense and try and control with the midfield against Apoel. We will have far more of the ball and far less space

      • OrganicPaper September 14, 2017 at 9:05 am

So I think Foyth wont feature, Sanchez and Toby in the middle for me

  • gloster1861 September 14, 2017 at 8:55 am

What is it with giving Shitsoko playing time? He’s fecking hopeless. I see no future above being ‘OK’ at being an large body in the midfield.
I doubt the dope will ever score a goal for us.

    • East Stand September 14, 2017 at 9:10 am

Look, Sissy has made his excuses about not having a pre season last year etc. I don’t buy it personally but that’s his little bit of slack with which he could redeem himself.

Playing through the middle, had his ‘pre season’ so no excuses now, plus he has a World Cup squad to get in. Let’s see, not holding my breath though. I agree, he looks lazy, off the pace and half asleep and plays when he feels like it.

Terrible signing so far, I’m sure they tried to offload him and couldn’t. Perhaps they hope getting in the French side and playing well might help them find a decent buyer next summer.

Useless pile of turd so far..

      • AccringtonSpurs September 14, 2017 at 9:16 am

I seem to remember reading a few articles that stated no one would give DL what he wanted for Sissoko – Daniel wasn’t prepared to take a loss, and would only consider a sale, not a loan. His wages are a massive issue in this debacle. We’re stuck with the galoot – have to play him to put him in the shop window. Maybe, just maybe he’ll get a couple of assists.

        • OrganicPaper September 14, 2017 at 9:25 am

Ive said it before – im sure others have too – but i think this is the only year we have a chance of getting some decent ish performances out of him and therefore selling him due to the world cup. He was a good player for France in the euros and I hope he busts a gut to get back in the team for Russia

          • gloster1861 September 14, 2017 at 9:30 am

He was on the wing back then. He had shown that’s not his proper position and he’s marginally less useless in the centre of midfield.
I can’t see he has a cat’s chance in hell of making the World Cup. Why should we suffer to accommodate the lump in our team?

  • Camus September 14, 2017 at 8:34 am

Phil Neville may have to have a life and body swap to ever approach world class.
Those Neville Brothers spent a whole career riding on the coat tails of Becks & Scholes and now they’re the authority on football in this country…

    • OrganicPaper September 14, 2017 at 8:48 am

No one in the Sky Sports club can fathom a scenario where Spurs are a world class team. I know we are not there yet, but we have finished above Man U, Liverpool and Man City in two consecutive seasons and above Arsenal and Chelsea in at least one of those two seasons.
To be honest i don’t give a toss if they keep writing us off because we will keep getting stronger, what I cant stomach is a second rate Manc like Phill Nev passing judgement on worlld class players.
      What a tool

      • gloster1861 September 14, 2017 at 8:52 am

They don’t want to process in their brains that Spurs have joined their little club, so they blank it out and put success down to individual players like Kane and Alli who they hope will leave Spurs soon for Man Ure.

      • East Stand September 14, 2017 at 8:57 am

This is why the Champions League is such a tough thing to win. You come across quality but also a different style of play, Dortmund are no mugs and have competed in it for years and years.

Let’s face it, until fairly recently we have been nowhere near competing at this level, it will take time to adjust.

Thought the approach last night was more pragmatic and realistic, other teams play that way all the time in the C. League. Let you have the ball and then punish you with quality….

        • gloster1861 September 14, 2017 at 9:02 am

Their high line played to Son and Kane’s strengths.

  • SpurAndy πŸ’Ο€ September 14, 2017 at 7:57 am

Fantastic win but a bit weird. Could have been 6 or 7 all. In fact it seemed Dortmund seem to be channelling their inner Spursy. They had the majority of possession, created loads of chances but ended up being beaten by a team with more clinical finishing. Sounds familiar?
Think Aurier is an upgrade on Walker which I must be honest I didn’t expect. Cudos to Levy and Poch for that. Sanchez still a little raw but the more I see the more the Ledley comparisons seem apt. A way to go yet before he reaches the pinnacle of the King though.

    • AccringtonSpurs September 14, 2017 at 8:18 am

Yes Aurier looks very good. not convinced 100% on his crossing, but it is better than Walker’s – even put one in with his left foot.

    • maximum spursman September 14, 2017 at 8:21 am

Put that (score line) feeling in a brief match report on the previous blog. I think you had suggested 10-10 in an earlier comment and that was my exact statement to friends at the stadium! As with a lot of games and (life itself!) ‘all ifs, buts and maybes’ but if that second one of theirs had counted I think we might have all been feeling different this morning – and not just laughing at Sissoko’s late effort!

      • AccringtonSpurs September 14, 2017 at 8:25 am

        maximum spursman
        – and not just laughing at Sissoko’s late effort!

        That cracked me up!

        • SpurAndy πŸ’Ο€ September 14, 2017 at 8:39 am

It won’t be in his highlight reel that’s for sure. Although there’s been improvements since he’s not been stuck on the wing there’s still times when I think he’s briefly been taken over by another entity thats never played football. That shot at the end of the run was a case in point.

          • maximum spursman September 14, 2017 at 8:50 am

I thought / hoped that would be his moment to be ‘accepted’ but Lord, did he mess it up!

    • East Stand September 14, 2017 at 9:01 am

This was one of the best transfer windows since ENIC have been owners. Not anything like the windows Citeh or Chavski enjoy regularly but for us it was logical and realistic.

Perhaps Levy and Poch had a heart to heart over how shit last summer was…

  • Matt September 14, 2017 at 7:52 am

Only Son could have scored that goal. He’s the only one quick enough. I’d love to see another really quick AM in our squad.

  • AccringtonSpurs September 14, 2017 at 7:47 am

Rose, Wanyama and Dele all absent. Trippier on the bench.

    3-1

    • Matt September 14, 2017 at 7:53 am

Good point. I’m told also a bloke called Lamela. Maybe a youth player, do t recall him.

  • Ronan September 14, 2017 at 7:28 am

Beautiful to win a game like that. Dortmund were frightening first half, looked so dangerous. Fortunately, Kano has the determination and quality to bend games like that to his will. Brilliant inspiration to the team.

  • Aussie in Switzerland September 14, 2017 at 5:46 am

I think West Ham will be in for a nasty surprise if they try to out muscle us in a couple of weeks.

  • Syd September 14, 2017 at 3:32 am

I honestly think Dele provides depth to our squad and not necessarily the individual star. Son was absolutely brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • melcyid September 14, 2017 at 2:07 am

  • BARD September 13, 2017 at 11:40 pm

Dele can be the difference in a tight game with cute short killer passes. I don’t think tonight was his sort of game. We need his creativity generally though, just needs to work a bit harder and stop being a twat.

  • Freund or Foe September 13, 2017 at 11:29 pm

A typical Wembley performance, but not a typical Wembley result. Should’ve scored a hatful, but should have lost.
Finding it hard to judge if we were really poor in the first half, or they were really good. They certainly couldn’t defend.
I’ll take it for sure, bring on RM, hopefully with another few Wembley wins under our belt.

This result was much needed. But a perfectly good goal ruled out and 9 first team players out for Dortmund I won’t be getting carried away. Harry is the best centre forward in world football though at the moment.

  • maximum spursman September 13, 2017 at 11:23 pm

Posted mini match report / my impressions on previous blog as this didn’t show up (for anybody who is interested)! Ref Aurier, some good with some bad but first time in the system and not too many better outfits to be faced this season. Lord only knows how good they could be if they had full first team available. I thought Davies was excellent after a rough first 20 mins or so. Hopefully, we can lay this ‘hoo doo’ to rest now at Wembley. That is the first time I have been there to see us win at Wembley since Ricky’s wonder goal back in 1981 replay so laying my own ‘hoo doo’ to rest!! I said it on the last post but will repeat; Nilly, you are one lucky sob πŸ˜€ (ref your photo)!

Son Heung-min has scored seven goals in nine competitive games against Borussia Dortmund.

Tottenham have received red cards in two of their past four home games played at Wembley, including in each of their past two European games.

Spurs have not kept a clean sheet in their past 11 games at Wembley, since a goalless draw against Man Utd in the 2009 League Cup final.

Christian Eriksen has provided 20 assists in all competitions in 2017; seven more than any other player in the big five European leagues.

    • gloster1861 September 13, 2017 at 11:19 pm

Football is a results business. Dortmund were unfortunate to have a goal disallowed but that sort of stuff normally happens to Spurs, so tonight proved there is no Wembley jinx.

Now to emphasise it by stuffing the Swans with paxo and an orange.

I thought that a few times in the match. I also thought that a few of our lot where looking for the places he floats into. He wasn’t there. We were more direct and yet we missed him.

      • gloster1861 September 13, 2017 at 11:16 pm

He does flap about at times.

      • is Gascoigne gonna have a crack? September 13, 2017 at 11:19 pm

He’s an anomoly. I get very confused on what he is. Interesting you say about the others missing him floating into gaps. I spose the first 11 are so established that would happen. Of course we will always miss his main attribute, that knack of getting into goalscoring positions that you just can’t teach.

        • Spursy September 13, 2017 at 11:27 pm

Dele is like a chemical that’s necessary to cause a reaction. He seeps into spaces, creates activity and makes time bend. I reckon it’ll do our lot and him good to know that our chemistry can bubble along brilliantly without him.

      • maximum spursman September 13, 2017 at 11:27 pm

Would agree. Think we missed his runs into the channels – although we often fail to deliver to him even when he is on the pitch! I know he scored but still felt ‘Sonny’ is off the pace ( lack of pre-season)? So are we better without / did we miss Dele….to be continued!

    • mikespurs September 13, 2017 at 11:16 pm

Well. I will say this, everyone ran they’re butts off closing lanes & backtracking when dort had the ball. Would dele have joined the party or dissapear hoping for his highlight reel flick. Id like to think he would have put in the defensive work along with everyone else.

      • is Gascoigne gonna have a crack? September 13, 2017 at 11:24 pm

He can be largely invisible. Could you say that about anyone tonight? Like you say they were all present and there were no passengers.

  • Spursy September 13, 2017 at 11:09 pm

Lol – a L’pool fan on the Guardian says he’s given up looking at their defending as anything other than a ‘challenging piece of absurdist performance art’. Funny.

A good win against a good side with defensive problems. Rode our luck with the offside decision but could have put it properly to bed with better finishing late on. Aurier looks strong but a bit mad, Sanchez very promising. We miss Wanyama in the middle. I’m not going overboard just yet. B+

    • Nick September 13, 2017 at 11:56 pm

I feel that being a previous customer has also hindered the attendance. If it wasn’t for trying to keep my spursmad daughter happy I wouldn’t go back to Wembley! Poor Poor stadium at high price point.Next game Swansea, relatively cheap.

  • Urbane Sturgeon September 13, 2017 at 10:41 pm

I agree with nick that Aurier was too loose at the back for much of the first half but you have to remember that it was his first start (wasn’t it?) and he’s only trained with us a few weeks, and we were playing the Bundesliga leaders. The effectiveness with which Poch & the players sorted it out for the second half, including Aurier, was pretty outstanding.

    • AccringtonSpurs September 13, 2017 at 10:43 pm

I think Aurier’s quite intelligent. Emotional intelligence is different kettle. He looks to be thinking well.

Aurier being lauded but I felt unimpressed with him.positionally he left huge gaps.dortmund used him to pull the cb’s across then switched play to get space.Improved in the second half though.Sanchez good though over enthusiastic.Kane was fantastic,Eriksen anonymous.Against a very good side, ecstatic to get the result. We run the hoodoo up the flag pole & stick the stats to the man ! COYS

    • gloster1861 September 13, 2017 at 10:37 pm

His first game with new team mates and against a top European side. Bit early to criticise surely? Showed enough class to indicate he’ll mean Bonzo isn’t missed.

    • Matt September 13, 2017 at 10:37 pm

In fairness first half was his first competitive game in that defence. It’s all about familiarity with the system. I think he’s going to be a great signing and his stats tonight were impressive.

Dortmund are a bl@@dy good team with great pedigree. That is a great win. I reckon we had a fantastic window. Sanchez and Aurier already look like regular starters and Llorente is going to be invaluable with his experience.

They seemed to get a few things wrong, including giving a perfectly good goal as offside when they would have equalised for 2-2. Praps I’m pleased they had a mare.

Walked in right for kanes first goal. Bit dodgy in the first half but really took it over. Acres of space on the left flank with their back 3. Only down a goal seemed overly risky. Good for us. “Paperwork” done & 3 points in the bag. Great day!

Sanchez and Aurier will deffo be class acts for us. Kane is just a legend for us.Harsh decision by the ref on Verts as Gotze made a right meal of it. Much better second half as we pushed them back and really should have scored at least two more . No comment on Sissoko’s attempt at the end but I see what he means about trying harder and being better with a pre season behind him……..good to see LLorente on in the shirt. He even won a header which is more than Janssen did over the entire last season. We still lack that pacy attacking midfielder that can run at their back line. Yarmolenko looked a class act and we could have had him on board last season. I would take him over Barkley..

Be interesting to see if Poch plays Toby & Sanchez in a 442 when Silly bugger’s out.

Four goals in four Champions League games for Kane. How can anyone say he’s not world class. He was superb tonight.

Don’t care about Jan missing the Apoel game. Give the lad a rest, let the lad Foyth have a game
