Get it out of your system here.

In the morning I’ll be providing an un-sugared analysis.

  • Aside from cerebrospinal fluid, what's on your mind?

Not sure what Gary FA Cup Lineker was on about, suggesting that a more clinical goalscoring minded Dele might have taken a better position to stick in the rebound from Kane’s header over Lamela. What if it hit the middle or the outside of the post ?

    • AntSpurs March 8, 2018 at 8:49 am

Or not so much of the inside post. Seems like he had more angles covered to me.

Juve have the players to play the way we try to play – open, passing football. They have Dybala, Higuain, Costa etc. The fact that they don’t play that way and they win trophies tells you everything you need to know. They shackle the creative players but for an occasional breakaway when they attack with precision and score. This is why, as it stands, you’d fancy Yanited or the Chavs to win the FA Cup over us.

There is a different mindset in sudden death cup football. We lacked precision and paid the price. While Juve were packing the middle I don’t know why we didn’t try harder to attack out wide. Credit to them, once they capitalised on our mistakes and got ahead they choked the life out of us

We needed more width in the latter stages but had no one to provide it. Tripps couldn’t get up the wing to deliver and when Davies did he couldn’t beat the first defender.

Feeling the same as the rest of you or most of you disappointed but not angry ? Have watched their goals 3 or 4 times now and both are just down to naive defending, Higuain is a world class finisher his anticipation of the header flick on was excellent but nobody tracked him second goal when Higuain received the ball in the middle he made a move to his left looking to play the ball down the line to Costa ( how i would love to see him in a spurs Shirt ) Davis dropped off to cover that pass as happened he was given the room to turn Tripps played for the off-side instead off tracking Dybala which i believe if he had he would off made a challenge. Interesting enough those 2 players weren’t in the game except for the 3 minutes of taking their excellent opportunity, Juventus are in the top pedigree of Champions League Football along with the other usual finishers. Spurs will feel it was one we let go in the blink of an eye but you have to learn by your mistakes so hopefully this experience will make us more determind and more aware of the level of concentration needed to make it to the top of the tree.

From a position of strength we just switched off for 10 minutes and the game was gone. It’s a tough lesson to learn. Hopefully we do learn from it

My only gripe is that they kicked Sonny off the park. They nullified Kane, Eriksenand Mouse excellently but they didnt have a tactical plan for Son so their clever, experienced complete cunt bastards kicked and stamped him out of the game. The stamp on son needs to be reviewed, if it was by Ali or anyother english player Uefa would be all over it.
Juventus wont win the champions league, that team has been together for 5-6 years, they are a huge club and they havent won it. Plucky teams like Spurs will never win it.

Yep – It was disgusting. None of the media are talking about their dark tactics – chalking it up to the ‘experience’ of the Juve team.

I seriously hope it is reviewed and retrospectively admonished.

    • PlayitagainSamways March 8, 2018 at 8:13 am

It was constant. There was another off the ball incident where Son went down but no replays or mention of it.
Son needs to learn from that, fucking make the referee make a decision like dybala did when lamela looked at him on the halfway line.
      Another lesson learned?

We HAVE to win at Chelsea this season if this team is to truely show they are learning.

      • Camus March 8, 2018 at 8:26 am

They were proper cunts. I can’t believe the BT Sport narrative was to let them off as “experienced”.

Sad it’s over on the biggest stage. Another painful lesson for the lads in the importance of taking chances when you’re in charge. It’s one thing not being clinical against the likes of Huddersfield or Arsenal. But if you let Juve off the hook they will stiletto knife you in the groin. Very important now to refocus in order to secure big cl nights at the new lane next season.

    FA cup it is then.

    Hmmm
