Why StubHub Was Really Pulled

Why StubHub Was Really Pulled

The THST are unrelentingly funny. I’ll give them that. If you’ve given them a tenner, you need your head examined.

No surprise that they’ve added this to their website’s sidebar, which is an embarrassing hotchpotch of alleged achievements, none of which stand up to any scrutiny.

Close to the top o’ the pile of nonsense is this ‘Ran the Stop StubHub campaign, ultimately resulting in the ticket exchange being taken back in-house by THFC from the 2017-18 season.’

Only a bunch of self important w*nkers like the trust would claim credit something that took over 4 years to be pulled.

This is like a spiritualist telling their assembled morons, ‘I am sensing one of you has lost someone, fairly recently. Someone that was very close to you. Am I right?’

But why was it pulled? Because fans wanting to screw other fans over weren’t actually selling their seats. Gladys had a poke about and told me: “The sales were good initially, because it was carnage! That didn’t last long.”

“By the time the cap came in, the novelty of paying double or worse for a seat at WHL had already worn off. Like you always say about Levy – how he only only concedes what has no value to him – that’s what happened here. By the time StubHub implemented the cap, the OTT priced seats were virtually non-existent bar the odd Japanese tourist.”

“The Trust claiming this as A WIN (**** me – nobody can cope with her) is very funny. Spurs jacked it in because Stubhub’s end was dwindling and they threatened the club with a reduction in commission.”

Thank you and goodnight.

Sigurdsson should be the No 1 priority. If he was informed of that, there would be no doubt he would come home.

    • mikespurs June 28, 2017 at 1:10 am

I agree. But someone here mentioned a 40 mil price tag via a leister paper. If true, doubt levy would fork over that much money for a player he sold. His ego couldnt take it.

Cavey given that Swansea have apparently slapped a £40M price tag on Siggy surely Vecino would be a cheaper option?

      • caveman June 28, 2017 at 2:59 am

Exactly DD, I think however that siggy back home is a no brainer, even at £40m.

        • David Dillenberg June 28, 2017 at 3:06 am

IMO Levy will baulk at that valuation.

          • David Dillenberg June 28, 2017 at 3:06 am

            *Siggys £40M valuation.

        • MysteriousStranger June 28, 2017 at 3:09 am

I’ve always rated Siggy and expressed my disappointment that we were selling him when Poch came in, but I think at his age and price tag he’s definitely be too rich for us now. He’ll probably be better off elsewhere financially too.

A younger type on half his wages and a third of his prIce is far more likely.

Basically if you want all the games here in the states you have to pay for both cable & 50.00 for an internet service.

      • caveman June 28, 2017 at 12:25 am

Mikey, can’t you get ‘Sports Donkey’?

        • mikespurs June 28, 2017 at 12:40 am

It doesnt effect me that much. Dont have cable & have a bar that opens up for us so watch all the games there. Really sucks for people on the west coast. (4am kick offs) and for fans of less popular teams who wont get played on cable week in & week out.

          • caveman June 28, 2017 at 12:48 am

Can understand the ‘west coast lads’ dilemma. Wouldn’t fancy having an alarm waking me up to watch a game when I should be enjoying a nice kip.

Matspurs, a bit of advice. Never feed your new dog from scraps from the table. I have a little Collie and I have never given her scraps from the table, my brother’s dog tortures visitors because he’s always fed her scraps from the table, where my little Collie just sleeps through the whole ‘dinner’ session and doesn’t bother anyone for scraps. It’s vital for a dog owner and people cannot believe that your dog doesn’t beg for food from the table. You’ll have such a happy little Cocker if you just heed this little tip.

                    • AntSpurs June 27, 2017 at 11:55 pm

Watchin ‘punk football’ a thing about fc utd of manchester, some fella on there said something poignant….’people say we’re anti modern football, but this IS modern football’…absolutely right. Fan run clubs are the way out of this mess. I don’t know why anyone in Manchester even goes to old Trafford anymore. I look at spurs and its becoming the same now, I have no affinity with it at all. Just what it was. The fans are the club.

  • caveman June 27, 2017 at 10:39 pm

HH, you mentioned that I should report on what I think of ‘Sports Donkey’ when I’ve had a chance to assess it, well I’ve had it for over four months now and can say that it was £50.00 well spent. You can access every match (and I really mean every match) in HD, but HD sometimes freezes, although not very often. You can also watch in SD which is picture perfect and NEVER freezes. You get every ‘Sky Box Office’ event included and it’s great for the big fights. There are so many channels available from the US, Canada and Europe, it’s amazing that this thing hasn’t closed down long ago.
Overall it’s great value, but you never can tell when it’ll all end, cause it’s pirating.

Interesting article on Football365 on the number of PL players purchased for 20 million or more. No surprise that we haven’t done this very often and City and the Chavs have done it more than the rest.

U21s lost in a penalty shootout to the krauts.
What a shame, I was hoping they could follow on from the under 20s and show the seniors how its done

    • East Stand June 27, 2017 at 8:20 pm

      The U20’s are skewing reality.

It will not translate into anything tangible, they are kids and young men play football for a living.

I was involved in sport when I was younger and I remember competing against kids who seemed to be vastly better than me but between the ages of 17-19 years of age everything changed and I surpassed many of them.

Something happens at that age as our bodies and brains develop and unless there is something that carries you through it (talent and hard work for example) then these wonder kids rarely take it with them into adulthood…
