Tony Pulis is giving Arry Redschnapps a run for his money.
When asked whether things would have been different had he remained in charge at West Brom, Pulis believes they would have been in a better state.
“It’s hypothetical. I’d back myself and my record says yes they would (have stayed up) Tony told the Birmingham Mail.
“They went for Alan who obviously wasn’t successful and they fell away. People who made that decision are those you should be asking.”
Alan Pardew’s is DNA is all over the Albion’s current plight.
Mike Ashley’s pal was brought in four months ago and he may as well have phoned it it from the golf course.
Perhaps he did.
Released by Palace, one would have thought that Pardew would have used his Baggies contract to remind everyone why he’s been in the managerial game so long.
Instead, ‘Boing Boing’ became ‘Snore Snore’.
Between these two clowns West Brom have won just 5 games all season.
Only Southampton have drawn more games.
What’s of note here, is that only in the last handful of games have we seen any sense of identity or purpose.
Judging by the way the players have reacted at the end of recent games, this last gasp attempt at survival has come from within the group, and owes little to either of this seasons dull mentors.
Whoever their board appoint next term needs to have robust plan – beyond engineering themselves a handsome salary and redundancy package.
It’s do or die for the Baggies this afternoon.
