Tony Pulis is giving Arry Redschnapps a run for his money.

When asked whether things would have been different had he remained in charge at West Brom, Pulis believes they would have been in a better state.

“It’s hypothetical. I’d back myself and my record says yes they would (have stayed up) Tony told the Birmingham Mail.

“They went for Alan who obviously wasn’t successful and they fell away. People who made that decision are those you should be asking.”

Alan Pardew’s is DNA is all over the Albion’s current plight.

Mike Ashley’s pal was brought in four months ago and he may as well have phoned it it from the golf course.

Perhaps he did.

Released by Palace, one would have thought that Pardew would have used his Baggies contract to remind everyone why he’s been in the managerial game so long.

Instead, ‘Boing Boing’ became ‘Snore Snore’.

Between these two clowns West Brom have won just 5 games all season.

Only Southampton have drawn more games.

What’s of note here, is that only in the last handful of games have we seen any sense of identity or purpose.

Judging by the way the players have reacted at the end of recent games, this last gasp attempt at survival has come from within the group, and owes little to either of this seasons dull mentors.

Whoever their board appoint next term needs to have robust plan – beyond engineering themselves a handsome salary and redundancy package.

It’s do or die for the Baggies this afternoon.

    Harry Hotspur
It was Barts he was referencing.
    https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/surgeon-regularly-treating-children-school-12306851
A surgeon in London has likened his hospital to a war zone and says he is regularly treating children in school uniform for knife wounds.
Martin Griffiths, a lead surgeon at Barts Health NHS Trust, said military colleagues have described their work as being similar to Camp Bastion, the British Forces base in Afghanistan.
The experienced surgeon said children aged as young as 13 are being admitted to his hospital with knife and gun wounds on a daily basis.
He made his comments after the number of homicides being investigated in the capital this year rose to at least 55 after a young man was stabbed to death in Hackney last night.
Speaking about the shocking spate of attacks, Mr Griffiths told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme that he has seen a “significant increase” in the number of wounds each victim receives as well as the severity.
He also said the age of the victims – and their apparent assailants – was dropping.
“About a quarter of what we see in our practice is knife and gun injury and now we are doing major life saving cases on a daily basis,” he said.
“Some of my military colleagues have described the practice here as similar to being at Bastion which is a very worrying comment to hear.”
He said the age of people he is required to do “major interventions” on is falling.
“We routinely have children under our care – 13, 14 15 year olds are daily occurrences.
“We used to look after people in their 20s now we look after people in their mid to late teens and children, children in school uniforms are being admitted under our care with knife and gun wounds.”
He said that while he believes some of his patients are suspected of having gang involvement others just have “poor impulse control”.
He added: “People’s attitudes towards violence are changing. Where as young people are being stabbed five, six years ago was a horror story now its normal and people expect to hear about people being killed on a daily basis.
“You get the society you deserve if you ignore violence and ignore offending as a member of the public.”
    And this not new.
    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1390799/Its-official-Hackney-is-more-dangerous-than-Soweto.html
THE streets of Soweto are safer than those of Hackney and people in the east London district are more likely to be treated in hospital after being shot or stabbed than in South Africa’s most dangerous township, new statistics have revealed.
Figures from the main trauma centres in each area show that while Homerton Hospital in Hackney treats 55 knife or gunshot wounds each month, the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Soweto – which has 10 times as many people in its catchment area – sees only six times as many such cases.
The figures were revealed by Donal Shanahan, a senior consultant surgeon from the Homerton who is in Soweto learning new techniques to deal with London’s appalling rise in stabbings and shootings.

          • 💋 May 5, 2018 at 11:59 am

The trouble with trying to discuss issues like these (Trump’s comments) and what makes any attempt pointless is that Trump’s haters start with – Trump’s an idiot, did you hear what he said? – and moves quickly to – Trump wants to sell AK47s – when the first argument is exposed as childish nonsense.

Not to mention the impossibility of trying to debate anything with anyone who views are so entrenched that they colour every possible thought about the subject.

IE: Starting point:Trump was, is and always will be a b*stard.
Now that’s settled, let’s discuss his policies, comments, motivations.

            • Freund or Foe May 5, 2018 at 12:04 pm

What do you think his motives were for talking about our knife issues?
              Honest question.

                • Ronwol196061 May 5, 2018 at 11:41 am

Does the fucker care about knives?????????

                  • Freund or Foe May 5, 2018 at 11:43 am

Guns are great because London has a knife problem.

We have 15 players leaving soon and the schmuck still wont play Lucas Moura

    • Accy May 5, 2018 at 10:58 am

We need to get Lucas’ BMI down from 22.1 to 22.05. Then and ONLY THEN will he be played.

    • Gloster1861 May 5, 2018 at 10:59 am

Moura was an early summer purchase. He wasn’t Poch fit when he arrived, he’s one for next season.

      That’s my hope anyhow.

      • Ronwol196061 May 5, 2018 at 11:01 am

How many of our players are Poch fit when they cant beat Stoke

        • Gloster1861 May 5, 2018 at 11:04 am

          A lot look knackered. Overripe.

That’s when a small squad makes a difference. And players not trusted like Llorente.

          • Ronwol196061 May 5, 2018 at 11:09 am

            These teams have 11 Llorentes.

Plus when you have wingers that cut in and backs that cant cross, the one player who is known to be good with his head come on in the 83rd minute once every nineteen games, what are the odds he is going to score?????

            • Gloster1861 May 5, 2018 at 11:13 am

I agree Ronwol. Last time I saw him we had failed to make a single decent cross all game, so Poch throws him on. Total amazement why.
Soldado got the same treatment, buy a player then never play to his strengths.

    Good morning 😊

According to the Guardian its a knife morning!

    • Matt May 5, 2018 at 11:10 am

The Guardian and BBC are in mourning because Labour didn’t sweep the Board. Funny that. Perhaps people don’t vote for a racist party.

      • MysteriousStranger May 5, 2018 at 12:26 pm

Fuck are you on about again? BBC in mourning? Let’s look at the evidence. Nick Robinson – Tory. Laura Kuennsberg – Tory. Andrew Neil – Tory. John Humphreys – Tory. David Dimbleby – Tory etc., I don’t suppose you’re bright enough to detect the pattern but nearly all their political correspondents are Tories.

Conservatives gained many UKIP voters. Conservatives actually reinstated a councillor suspended for retweeting a racist joke to retain control of one council. They are the ones who presided over the Windrush scandal, locking up POC who couldn’t prove they were British after they destroyed the paperwork that could have proved their right to stay in this country. Heard of it at all?

You talk utter shit. The BBC has a pro government bias. Who gained more seats than the Conservatives in the Local elections? Labour. In spite of the continual suggestions Labour and only Labour has a problem with anti semitism. The Guardian lets any cunt write for them these days. Nobody sweeps the board in any Local elections because there are often differing views in different places. Skewed for various reasons. Whether down to class demographics or the cultural diversity in the communities. Was it a Tory council that went bankrupt recently? I do believe it was. You seem quite intent on coming on here to talk shit about supposed rife Labour and Momentum members “anti semitism”, tarring everyone with the same brush instead of having sufficient intellect to recognise there are bad apples in every orchard. And here you are talking bollocks once more. Even more racists and anti semites on the right wing according to the Institute for Jewish Research Policy but you seem to have missed that. Get educated and stop spouting shit.

    Mark T

I’m never quite sure why you’re so critical of Redknapp. He led us through the most successful period we’d had in 20 years. The distractions of the court case and possible position as England manager fucked up our momentum for sure but he built a great team.

I’d like to know whether he was sacked for taking his eye off the ball as our manager or whether there were other goings on that never properly came to light.

    Er… he won nothing.

    So he was 100% unsuccessful.

    He also built nothing.

Sir Alex Ferguson, Bill Nicholson, Brian Clough, Bill Shankly all built great teams.

    Sorry, but thems is facts.

Redknapp did well but wanted to let Bale go out on loan (wanted to sell him according to some) he was flashing his y fronts at the FA for the England job in every pressa. 13 point lead over the Arse and oversaw the car crash ending of that season. Fuck Redknapp

      • Aussie in Switzerland May 5, 2018 at 10:58 am

He wanted to sell Bale for 5 mil

    • David Dillenberg May 5, 2018 at 10:21 am

Playing sexy swagger football (Modric probing, Scotty Parker sitting) Redknapp revived our fortunes but alas neither himself, his predecessors nor current incumbent has yet takes us to the holy grail!! Happy days!

    • Ronwol196061 May 5, 2018 at 10:48 am

There was no stabilty in the way we played football under Redknapp. It was exciting though and the type of flash footie we were often known for.

Under Poch we have had for the most part a much better defence, and and exploding attack when the situation is right and in a way more stability.

The league itself got a lot more difficult too with the top teams spending mega and the smaller teams getting fitter and armed with systems meant to frtustrate.

If Schnapps were the manager now I think we would have a splash for a week or two then it would be downhill slide into mediocrity

Lolz – great leak to destabilize LFC 👍

The disparity between the bonuses Liverpool and Real Madrid players will receive for winning the Champions League this season is tenfold.
The Liverpool squad have clauses in their contracts this season that guarantee them £200,000-per-man for lifting European football’s most prestigious club trophy in Kiev on May 26.
Yet Madrid, whose team are the best paid in Europe, are on an incredible £2million-per-player to win the European Cup for a 13th time.
