Home » Welcome Back Kane

Harry Kane’s has clearly had an immense psychological boost from his goal against Brighton, and why not?

It wasn’t just the goal that improved his game.

Harry was much more involved generally.

Against Brighton, the 25 year old made 34 passes, against Inter just 15 and against Liverpool a mere 12.

The above quote to Ben Pearce at ESPN is spot on.

When it came to fighting Harry was also much improved, the boy Kane won recovered the ball 4 times out of 4 attempts on Saturday. Against Inter he made ‘none from none’, against Liverpool there was just one attempt that failed.

It was a similar story across the board, at the Amex Kane made 4 successful dribbles, whereas he only managed one in Italy and again one effort in Liverpool.

The South coast air also improved his appetite for shooting, he had 4 shots on target at Saturday teatime, compared to zero shots against Inter and just one against the Scousers.

So this wasn’t simply an, ‘oh look I’ve scored, I’m back’ moment for the lad, this was a performance of notable improvement all round.
