It was an afternoon to remember for Troy Parrott as he was handed a Premier League debut in Tottenham Hotspur’s 5-0 win over Burnley.
And Jose Mourinho ensured that the 17-year-old striker had a memento from his landmark day by personally handing him the ball at full time.
Son Heung-min may have been keen to keep the match ball for himself after scoring a once-in-a-liftime goal, but Mourinho asked the South Korean for the ball at the final whistle to give it to Parrot instead, and he obliged.

Mourinho explained to his post-match press conference, via Football London: “It was his debut and I think it had a much bigger meaning to a kid who last week was playing against others his age in the UEFA Youth League.
“Today he’s playing in the Premier League at 17. Will he play against Bayern Munich? I don’t know. All I can say is Harry Kane won’t. Who plays, we’ll see.”
Let’s hope Wednesday in Munich is another night for Parrott’s scrapbook.
You are not a Tottenham fan. Stop lying.
And the thing is if ENIC sold up they’d all be spurs fans again. When the going got tuff. 🎼where were ya where were ya. They’ll find something else to moan about. It’s what they do.
Silly me bemoaning the annailation of a football club. But I’m the problem.
it’s amazing to hear all people saying that jose is toxic, when a club supporter like one above me literally exist. lol. spreading toxic all over the news that have jose in it. whinning when we win and whinning more when we lose. what an amazing supporter all these guys are. lol
