Pep Guardiola. He’s a card.

The ‘Harry Kane Team’ description is one of a man running scared. He’s already bought Kyle Walker and now he wants Eric Dier. The Manchester City gaffer is doing a good impression of someone who didn’t get to manage the squad he really wanted to.

The City boss will be all too well aware of聽Kane keeping Spurs within distance of the top two as the 24 year old bagged his 12th and 13th goals of September!

More importantly, who gets the nod at rightback vs Bournemouth, & then who at Madrid 3 days later?

At his current rate of 0.68 goals/game, Harry Kane will need another 9 seasons to beat Shearer’s record. He’d be 32.

    • Aussie in Switzerland October 2, 2017 at 2:30 pm

He will get there sooner, in parallel with us winning the league for the first 3 years at the new stadium

    • 61SpursNut馃尠 October 2, 2017 at 2:32 pm

His current rate, taken from, last season onwards, is 0.95 goals/game. If he plays every game from now until he reaches 260 it will take him 4.5 seasons.

      Shearer 260 pl goals (58 pens, 22.3%)
      Kane 84 pl goals (12 pens, 12.2%)

What age did Shearer retire? Also, Kane’s not even reached his peak yet.

Shearer, 275 goals in 40,059 minutes, 0.62 goals per game. (Blackburn & Newcastle inc cups)
Kane 84 pl goals 9609 minutes, 0.78 goals per game. (Spurs only)

Shearer was 36 when he retired. Kane has 12 years to go and will break his record, for us, long before those 12 years are up.

His team would always fall flat on their faces with no Kompany or Aguero, does have Jesus now I guess, but the man’s a turd. He’s never managed without money, at least with Jose he’s done it with Porto, & every team he’s been with since. Hopefully we get our players back fit & give em a run for their money. If we bag 3 points against bournemouth, we’ll be one point behind last season after 8 games with much worse injury problems. We’re also 3 points better off in the CL, ain’t too bad a start. Interested to see how Mancs fare at Anfield next, might catch em up a little…

Porto were the richest in their league. Jose is the same as pep, both have done nothing more than take a top team, spend lots of money and make them a top team. Points to pounds you would probably find they are some of the worst managers. especially if you consider the value of the sides they inherited.

CL and Ropey with Porto, that’s immense. Took on Milan & won CL again, he’s better than Pep, no question.

when city rolled into the lane last october they were top of the league and flying, unbeaten and held to a draw only once i believe. and yet the 2-o victory was very comfortable. oh, and kane was not playing. pep is having a bit of harmless fun to distract from the screw up that is his main striker with his broken ribs and the fact that he has spent the most extraordinary amount of cash
