Poch has hit back at football pundit Phil Neville. Harry Kane’s goalscoring exploits have rocketed him into the very top bracket of strikers and there’s nothing that an Everton has-been can say to deride his achievements.

The gaffer said: “It is true all players try to score, to win and of course to win titles, that is the aim of everyone, but for me so far Harry Kane is showing he is one of the best strikers in the world …he is more than happy to stay at Tottenham.”

Neville’s comments on Kane are out of touch. Spurs have evolved under Pochettino and are no longer just a top six side, but serious contenders.

Last season’s second place finish looked convincing and if the Wembley jinx can be exorcised then Harry Kane is just the man to see Tottenham win the mix for the title again.

I’ll reserve judgement on our transfer window and whether it was a complete success until I see Llorente and Foyth play. However, it does seem as though we’ve done very well in the scouting and recruitment of Sanchez and Aurier.

Because of this, I too, am taking greater care with my purchases.

I’m a dog lover, living with my spouse’s cat, and as the little moggy is getting on a bit she keeps missing her, frankly inadequate toilet with her excretions—It means putting on rubber gloves at least twice a week.

It’s fair to say it’s the “N’jie” of cat litter trays.

So I’ve been on Amazon, and have researched/scouted approximately 20 potential replacements. Larger, higher-walled, anti-microbial… essentially, I’ve ended up purchasing the “Aurier” of cat litter trays and it arrives tomorrow. I’m actually more excited about this than the game against Swansea—but like Spurs getting our transfers right, it’s the difference it’s going to make to our lives to have made such a considered purchase.

I can’t think of many pundits I dislike. The only one who comes to mind is Micky Quinn who is unbelievable biased towards the Dippers. Like Garry Neville. Indifferent about Phil. Don’t mind Lineker. What you have to remember is that although you might think they’re biased against us the truth is we’ve a history of failing and winning fuck all. So until we actually start winning stuff they’ll take the default position that we’ll probably fail and I can’t really blame them for that. Just my opinion and I know I’m in the minority.

    And the uglier one too.

Well, Phil Drivel or whatever his name is, talks about Kane needing to prove himself at the very top level. Presumably the thick bastard isn’t aware Spurs will be playing the champions of Europe very shortly. And that Kane just scored against a team that compared well to the best of the rest.

The usual meanderings of a second rate player and a second rate pundit who along with many others are always seeking to undermine Spurs as we are seen as the team most likely to break up the cushdie cartel of media and clubs at the top of the EPL who feel they have a divine right to have the best players and be guaranteed a place in the CL. The problem is we have probably the top coach in the EPL with now most definitely one of the best back lines in the world. Next season we I’ll have possibly the best stadium in the world and more revenues to compete. We are beginning to look a very attractive proposition for the best players even if we do not pay the most. As long as Levy holds his nerve and strengthens without selling then Spurs look to me to be the emerging new top club in world football. This is a bitter pill for the Gooners and the Mancs to swallow especially the Gooners as they get used to being in our shadow.

I have a special mirror so I can look at them without turning into stone. And yes, Phil makes the Elephant Man look handsome.
