Slaven Bilic wants West Ham to hammer an early dent in Tottenham’s title ambitions.

Bilic’s side effectively ended their rivals’ hopes last season with a 1-0 win at the London Stadium in May.

With that derby victory still fresh in the mind, the Hammers boss wants a repeat performance against the team he concedes is the best footballing side in the Premier League.

Hammers defender Michail  Antonio is a man who understands how much every game against Tottenham means to the West Ham support.  “We wanna do this for the fans. We know it’s a massive game, it’s a very important day.”

West Ham grabbed their first win of the season at home to Huddersfield, battled to a goalless draw at West Brom and then eased past Bolton 3-0 in the Carabao Cup.

Bilic has seen the pressure surrounding his position ease following three games unbeaten, and three clean sheets. The gaffer added:

“For me they are the team that plays the most attractive football and for me they are definitely one of the contenders to win the league,” he said.

“They have patterns, they have individual quality, they have pace and they are a team building up for three years now, they are improving the team. That for me makes them maybe the best team, or the most attractive definitely.

“We always put a special kind of performance against them. Okay it is a derby and all that, and my wish and the key is to get those kind of performances whoever we play against.

For those who think we’re on the edge of the precipice there’s always some team worse off.

If I supported the blue noses I’d strongly suspect that the club had been secretly taken over by Villa.

    Camus

So… I’ve never been super clued-up on where’s where in London, apart from White Hart Lane, Muswell Hill, Hampstead and ‘our area’. Didn’t know where Olympic Park was specifically, nor the Emirates for that matter. So I just consulted the maps and discovered that the Olympic Park and the area known as ‘West Ham’ is closest to the Emirates geographically. They’re pretty much side-by-side actually and we’re further north.

So I have to ask the question – why do the Hammers always make such a fuss about playing us?
We’re not their direct local rivals…

The long answer is that they have always been bigoted wankers and despite the East End being blessed with Jews fleeing Europe who all contributed to the country in a myriad positive ways, they natives were so hostile that the Frontwheel skids didn’t feel comfortable going to Upton Park and instead took the tram up to The Lane instead. There’s a more cerebral explanation in the must read, ‘Does Your Rabi Know Your Here?’

I really don’t like West Ham United Football Club or any if its associates.
Do it for me lads, if for no-one else.
    I’ll settle for 0-6.

I would so love us to hammer them!! It’s the live match on SBS in Oz this weekend. First chance to watch the lads ‘live’as it were.

Bilic’s last paragraph states exactly what I was gonna write as I read this blog.

It’s great to read that stuff if a player from your team comes out with this kind of battle cry.

But they should be professional enough to do that week in week out.

Of course there are games which mean more but regardless of the level you play at, if you can be bothered to get out of bed, then put yourself forward to play these games, then the least you can do is try your best for every second of every match.

Bilic comes across as a nice fella, with the spammers totally undeserving of such a man from the boardroom down to the knuckle dragging reprobates who turn up to watch them, and so if his players did this task, he wouldn’t be clinging to his job by a thread.

She’d definitely be more useful in midfield than Sissoko.
