Spurs may still be smiling over the sweetness of the Champions League success against Borussia Dortmund, but our second leg game against ze Germans is unlikely to be a walk in the park.

Last nightΒ Shinji Kagawa, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Christian Pulisic all scored against Hamburg. The comprehensive victory allowed Dortmund to retain their top of the table position and make a return to business as normal.

Borussia bossΒ Peter Bosz was magnanimous and said of Hamburger SV:”Not even Tottenham tested us this much…”

I don’t know if anyone else noticed this in the game Tuesday, but somwhere between the 47th and 68th minute. I noticed Alli flared his left nostril a little more than he usually does. Now this was not immediately after a period of exertion so I think what this was a very clear sign that he wanted to snot in the queens face.

I think he should be the subject of a Feeefaaa enquiry for this latest atrocity. I was at the game with my 4 year old triplets we had to make a special dash to get there as I had taken them to the launch of Living Dead Zombie Flesh Eaters 7, they loved it. I simply don’t want to brung them up seeing Alli carry out such disgusting filth on the pitch every week. They all tweeted their disgust at this event immediately at the game, they must have been angry cause none of them were eating their jumbo chilli dogs i just paid 38 quid for.

News in from Dan Kilpatrick of ESPN:-

“Poch says Alli cupped-ears gesture was “a reference for a friend in the crowd”. “It’s not related to us, to the fans, to the club.”

I thought it was for the benefit of the Barnsley supporters.

    • ronwol196061πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ September 21, 2017 at 2:20 pm

Deles attitude while playing is much more relevant than the cupping of his hand after he scores. Im just happy that he scored.
Mind you I would be much more impressed by Eriksen cupping his hand after doing something good, for him it would be a step in the right direction.

Forget the Krauts. We’ve got to get a result against Nicosia before we can even contemplate the rematch with Dortmund.

APLOL will be a challenge. Mainly in concentration.

  • Panama Paul September 21, 2017 at 12:51 pm

They certainly ‘boszed’ the possession stats at Wembley. Just not the goals scored stat, which is the only one that really counts (maybe goals conceded stat also).

    • ronwol196061πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ September 21, 2017 at 2:28 pm

They were not effective especislly in the 2nd they did lots of sideways passing

  • Chi Y-Word September 21, 2017 at 12:25 pm

Yeah but we did ’em on the counter at home and will do it again away. Not sure Hamburg have got as much up top or are strong at the back. Sounds like a bit of ego massaging for his players tbh.

    • Chi Y-Word September 21, 2017 at 12:25 pm

      Forst

    • gloster1861 September 21, 2017 at 1:10 pm

Please be aware their defence was injury ravaged.

I’m not expecting much for the return unless a) Alli plays well b) Sissoko is dropped c) Lloris has a blinder d) Wanyama is back to his best.

      • Panama Paul September 21, 2017 at 1:21 pm

We need to show them some British steel. In the immortal words of Corporal Jones, “They don’t like it up ’em, Captain Mainwaring, they don’t like it up ’em!”

        This.

    • Mike Pinner September 21, 2017 at 2:38 pm

The true test of Borussia will be their next champions league game, home to Real. Then we’ll know for sure if they are going to be a threat to the status quo. In some ways it would be good if they could beat Madrid as it might rock their confidence before facing us, or am I being misguided?
