Marca, surely one the world’s most rabid football outlets, has sent shivers down the spines of thick people everywhere today.

The suggestion is that Daniel Levy had not just actively sabotaged Mauricio’s new contract, but rendered it nigh in worthless by including a clause within it that allowed the Argentine to commence talks with Real Madrid or PSG if he were so approached.

Now, telling a lie of this size doesn’t really require so much in the way of remarkable dexterity because it’s gossip in a sports magazine.

There is no process of cross examination, or ability for a third party to scrutinise any element.

So if you like, Marca or whoever has the upper hand because the dispute can only really be called by THFC, and it is extremely unlikely that a response could be provoked.

Gladys maintains that Levy doesn’t do ANY type of clause that could effect the business negatively at any stage in the future.

Levy doesn’t do concessions other than ones that are limited to the here and now.

Clauses that are not in one’s favour are time bombs by another name.

Our beloved weirdo is many things but he is not daft.

There is no clause in Alderweireld’s contract, none in Modric’s all that time ago.

Anyone that says there is, is barking up the wrong tree.

The truth is, Real Madrid are a in a bit of muddle and even they will have fun trying to buy their way out of this one.

More chance of this happening….

    So, Zidane has ‘resigned’ 🤣

Which must begin the question, did Bale finish him off?

I think it’s highly likely Bale will now stay and Ronaldo can go back to ManUre.

And June 2019 the buy back clause expires.

Inter after Dembélé maybe. Would sync with DL doing all sales first buy later.

Good way to always miss out on the top talent. What else’s new??

      Sorry but this is Bull$hit!

You’re right about Levy, infuriating but not daft. More important, Poch seems to have the Wenger mindset that you stick to a contract even if someone prettier flutters their eyelashes.

  • Gloster1861 May 31, 2018 at 5:44 pm

    Quiet in here tonight.

      I am such loser.
