The Mirror are running with what we’d all worked out some while ago – which is that Danny Rose will not be wearing a Manchester United shirt next season.

A combination of mental health issues, injuries and general daftness ended what was in truth a prolonged attempt by Rose to get himself poached by a bigger Premier League rival (as his close pal Kyle Walker had been).

Rose’s overtures were blunt and self defeating; leaving him marginalised and it may be here that we find a source of his turmoil.

Ben Davies did a better than admirable job as an understudy stepping out of the wing and if Rose is serious about competing for Spurs, then his first task is to prove he’s worth his starting place.

I’d like to see Rose given a chance, but for the umpteenth time, one wingback isn’t much use to anyone.

Question is, at his age will he have the willingness to both knuckle down and adapt?

Tottenham need all hands on deck ahead of a mother season of change.

Player retention appears to be under way, but one gets the feeling we’ll be seeing a lot of familiar faces next term.

    I can answer that question!
    No, it wouldn’t.
It’s Trump’s deal and frankly if this wasn’t the Orange Nightmare nobody would be having this conversation and we’d just be thanking Hilary or whoever.
Kim has been waving missiles at Japan and South Korea for decades.
Trump spoke to him like you’d call a child out in the playground. Called him Rocket Man, told him he would bomb him into the dark ages. Told him he should be better leader to his people who have lived in misery all their lives.
Trump has begun a brilliant process and this morning the bookies slashed the odds of the Commander In Chief Being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

When you say “Kim has been waving missiles at Japan and South Korea for decades” you are speaking of his grandfather and father. This one has only been leader since 2011.

That said, he has launched more missile tests than his father and grandfather combined. Among the crazier reports of his preferred execution methods include the burning to death of Oh Sang-hon, the Deputy Public Security Minister, by FLAMETHROWER. A little slower – but no more gruesome – than the fate of Kim Chol, a vice minister of the army. His crime was drinking during the official mourning period after Kim Jong Il’s death in December 2011. His reward? He was placed on a spot (I think it was at the end of a runway) and obliterated by a mortar, after Jong-un had allegedly ordered that “no trace of him left behind, down to his hair.”

His Defence Chief, Hyon Yong Chol, had the temerity to doze off at a military event. His public execution was witnessed by hundreds of State officials (no doubt, as a warning, rather than entertainment.) The method of his demise? A firing squad using anti-aircraft weapons.

Have you ever wondered how, in a country where starvation and malnutrition is rife and where the average adult male is three centimetres shorter than his counterpart in the South, both Kim Jong-un and his late dad, Kim Jong-il, had permanent pot-bellies?

The consequence for us, as Spurs fans, is that we might, at some point, lose Son Heung-min to compulsory military service. The best way for him to avoid it would be for South Korea to have an (unlikely) brilliant World Cup, as they did in 2002, guided by the superb Guus Hiddink and his on-field general, Hong Myung-bo (the side, incidentally, that featured ex-Tottenham left back, Lee Young-pyo and Manchester United’s Park Ji-sung, before they were introduced to the Premier League.) Those that had not endured South Korean National Service were given lifetime exemptions, for performing so well. Hopefully, Sonny can pull a similar hat out of his particular bag.

By the way, I lived in South Korea from 2001 until 2012.

Rose and Toby both had their heads turned and focus disrupted by Mourinhio its a tactic he’s used many times, why do players still listen?
Why would anyone take a chance of playing for him, the list of good players who he has dumped or set their careers back 2 years is truly astounding!

Is it merely coincidental that Trump arranged this “historic meeting” with the only national leader to have a worse hairstyle than his?

Davies and Trippier are at best mid table fullbacks. Neither are wingbacks and neither would get a regular first team spot in any of the other top six squads. Pooch successfully dismantled our back line by allowing Levy to flog off Walker to a rival club and in so doing negate one of our major offensive attributes in our wingback option and then alienating Toby who has been our stand out defender alongside Verts since he joined. The knock on effect was to make Lloris a nervous wreck and make his distribution as secure as Forest Gump on roller blades. We need another w8ngback on the right and to push Rose to re- establish his position on the left. Nice that we are being “brave” by securing our top players. Of course nothing to do with Levy looking to inflate values of assets pre World Cup in expectation of offers coming in after its finished and the stampede to sign new players takes place before the start of the season. A stampede that no doubt Levy will watch pass him buy as he prepares with deft like thread to snap up those Sissokoesque bargains that he has been so successful at securing at the last minute bargain basement bucket.

Davies works in a 3 CB, 2 WB system. We played a lot with a back 4 for last term and he was found wanting for pace. Rose better suited in that system.

Mate, you just shouting the same things out.
I think the merciful Lord on near daily basis that I am not a school teacher. Google North Korea’s ‘back story.
There are decades of danger from this clown, including hunan rights violations not including nation-wide deprivation of their citizens.
Trump is going to turn this fucktard into a Rock Star and all the people of North And South Korea, and Japan and China will be very happy about it.
The fewer nut jobs with nuclear weapons there are in the world the better.
But I cannot have a discussion with people who don’t have any understanding of the region and the hardwired craziness.
This is the beginning, so NO, this is not finished, but any treasonable person would champion the advance and not sneer.
    The boy Trump done good.
    This is not a drill.

Harry I don’t know enough about North Korea. I know the basics.
But surely, this denuclearisation has come about precisely because Kim had been recently, publicly making a show of testing missiles and plumping its feathers up on the world stage. The US and South Korea appear to have been making counter-manouevres to put pressure on NK. This has been going on for years, right? But the testing of missiles for the world to see publicly, is much more recent.
A question is, this would have happened regardless of who was US head of state, yes?
