Trademark Signing On The Cards

By The Boy -

More rubbish on Levy’s radar.

This time it’s Hoffenheim fullback Jeremy Toljan.

A 22 year old bit part player who by the looks of it was passed over by Chelsea Football Club’s extremely successful ‘football factory’.

With Bonzo gone and Trippier being awarded a swanky new 5 year deal why is Levy wasting more money on a piece of junk that is surely bound to find itself tossed on the same bonfire as Yedlin, No’Cluedo, Stambouli, Fazio and Clinton Cards?

Toljan isn’t a Bonzo replacement and given the existence of Wimmer and Davies where does he fit in? Ah, I get it. Another punt for the spreadsheet.

I wouldn’t mind if we were doing a Chelsea and operating a diamond polishing enterprise, but we’re not.

This is just more money from an increasingly limited budget being clogged up. All these players ever do is eventually get sold at a huge loss because nobody ever factors in how much the wage and training costs are.

No side always gets it right, I’m not suggesting that THFC ought to get every single transfer right, but for the love of God, please stop buying cheap crud.
