Gladys tells me that Toby’s injury isn’t as bad as it looked.

As the poor boy was carried off arms folded over across his chest, all that was missing were pennies on his eyes.

Obviously there’ll be a scan, but the initial thought is that bad bruising is about the size of it.

After our draw against West Brom no doubt some of our fans will be saying how unlucky we were. 

We’ve played West Brom four time since Pulis took over there. We won the first one, the next three have all been draws. That isn’t luck, that’s a manager whose got our number. If you want to win the league then being able to beat Man City but not West Brom isn’t the way to do it. 

The league is about consistency, grinding out results against awkward opponents or when you are playing badly. In the end I suppose we should be grateful for the draw but while if you are in a relegation struggle a draw is a point gained, if you are chasing the title its two points lost.
