Home » Tim Is Toast

If anyone can explain to me how Sherwood now keeps his job, even to the end of the season …please do.

Immediately after the game, we got the “There’s a few I’d count on, there’s a few that I wouldn’t” line, which may well have been a point of discussion among the players that were spotted on the lash later that night in Cheshunt.

But Tim won’t be toast on the strength of bemoaning to Geoff Shreeves that players let him down. That’s par for the course. And to a great extent, the criticism was well earned.

What won’t be tolerated, is publicly announcing that Spurs are “miles away” from a top 4 finish, “everyone at the club … *looks skywards* …always talking about 4th …*shakes head* …nah, wake up.”

That’s not the party line. That’s not what Levy & Co. will have been earnestly telling potential sponsors. And those comments were compounded by an interview Tim proceeded to give to Martin Lipton in the The Mirror.

The silence is deafening isn’t it? It’s up to Daniel.

I didn’t know if he was here or not. Maybe he was travelling, I don’t know.

It’s up to the club to make that decision. One thing I guarantee people is that no one cares more than me.”

How ENIC will retain a manager who publicly derides the club’s ambitions and mocks the lack of communication, whilst simultaneously demanding to be confirmed as boss next season, is anyone’s guess.

Sherwood cuts a sorry figure. He arrived wide eyed and smirking. There was very much an air of “it ain’t rocket science, is it?” about him.

The bravado would have been refreshing had he not achieved his position by foul means and dark arts, or if he had paid his dues and risen naturally. But he hasn’t paid his dues.

He usurped the position without any experience or a Pro License. The fantasy that winning a Premier League title over a decade ago, somehow stood him in good stead only makes sense if you’re a Redknapp.

And what a dynasty of distress that clown has built. Portsmouth, Southampton & now QPR; all curiously left in a financial purgatory after the footballing supremo Arry has worked his magic.

Sherwood is demanding an audience with his master. At this rate, I’d say the odds of him getting called into the boardroom within the next 24hrs look absolutely nailed on.
