I think we’ll be alright but I just can’t help seeing the possible nightmare scenario. I didn’t expect us to be in such a good position (ie with so much to potentially lose). it was a great night; we played very well in the second half and, of course, DD and I are really pretty chuffed.

Moura poor first half. Better second half but still not sure what he actually brings to the table? Despite one superb shot he always looks busy, runs around a lot to generally minimal effect?
Oddly Eriksen has lost his midas touch with free kicks!

DD was moaning at the start of the game about Jan being fielded at full back, so I was giving him some stick at the end of proceedings. Mind you, we were attacking all the time in the second half; not sure whether he has the pace to cope at full back if we’re under the cosh!
DD, incidentally, wanted Llorente on for Moura after 20 minutes! He did, however make his contribution!

Currently, Foyth continues to be this season’s walkies; does something fabulously footbally with 2 players on him one minute, and the next minute does something you’d imagine he would have had beaten out of him aged 14.
They just look a bit crisper on the ball. Aside from Son not slipping the ball to the unmarked rushing in Moura who’d have had a tap in, the most threatening team going into the box is dem innit.
I’m not hopeful, and I’m not convinced that a one goal lead would be enough. A surprise change and a quick 2nd half start leading to a 2 nil win is what’s needed but I can’t see it.

Observations. Massive credit to Poch. We use the full pitch and wear teams down. Sissoko and Jan were immense. Moura is shit. They were missing their 2 best up top and 2 back 4 starters. 2nd leg will still be a fight.

Wow where did that second half come from. Jan the man was magnificent. How amazing is to see crosses of quality for a change. Eriksen stepped up and marshalled everything. Son is just a legend. Foyth looked more composed. Sissoko was controlling the ball and even Fernando comes on and we supply him with across and he does what he can do and nuts one in. Fabulous result and Kane and Ali coming back. Happy days…..
