It’s all go in N17.

The redevelopment of White Hart Lane station draws closer after Transport for London (TfL) have announced Taylor Woodrow have won a £17.8m contract to design and rebuild the station.

Work is expected to start on the site in the autumn, and the improvements completed in spring 2019.

The station will also be open to fans travelling to and from the stadium when it opens in summer 2018, as it will continue to operate throughout the majority of the works.

Tottenham Hotspur has also announced it has selected Hewlett Packard Enterprise as its official IT networking and Wireless Infrastructure Partner.

The Club is installing Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company, networking solutions, with support from HPE’s Pointnext services organisation, to meet its current and future technology demands.

RedstoneConnect a leading provider of technology and services for smart buildings and commercial spaces, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract to install an IT cabling infrastructure throughout the new build.

This is the last remaining section of the original stadium.

With Erik Lamela due back in October, we have no need to buy another attacker/forward type. He’ll be like a new signing 🤗

    • gloster1861 July 11, 2017 at 10:32 pm

Know any good faith healers then? Maybe Hoddle still has Eileen Drewery’s phone number.

      • Camus July 11, 2017 at 10:35 pm

He’ll put Alexis Sanchez in the shade this season, just you watch. Special talent.

        • gloster1861 July 11, 2017 at 10:37 pm

I want Sanchez playing at Bayern thank you very much.

    • gloster1861 July 11, 2017 at 10:36 pm

I’m just saying don’t expect Lamela to be anyway near his form before this long injury layoff. If he makes it at all.

Whilst the pain many be unforgettable/unforgivable and Levys/Enics/joes intensions may be questionable. As quick as Levy has denied wanting to sell the club which would be a shit load of cash and continue in his property development endeavours. He has been quick o point out that we do not need to sell player unless Poch wants. So whatever gripes one has with DL, he does keep to his word however frustrating. Am so if we sell Dier or Walks or Wimmer or anyone else it will be for the team and Poch’s choice. 😘😘

    • AntSpurs July 11, 2017 at 10:06 pm

I think DL has learned from his mistakes and we are all the better for it

      • AntSpurs July 11, 2017 at 10:07 pm

Only fools rush in. But I can’t help falling in LOVE with yous.

        • AntSpurs July 11, 2017 at 10:15 pm

Has Dier claimed or does anyone know if he prefers midfield to a back 3 or CB? There may be the issue. For me he suits playing as a back 3 only whilst Wanyama is fit. He’s a more cultured player but for me can’t jump in for certain games. If Poch can’t find a way then he must me sold. But not for £60M to Utd.

    • Sexy Beast July 11, 2017 at 9:38 pm

Levy might see his value in £ signs but Pooch will only see his value to the team…..

down an allyway with dier at my side . no problem. martial would turn on his heels and leave you by yourself. on your jack jones.

  • melcyid July 11, 2017 at 9:19 pm

I think Diers importance to the team is underestimated by those who would flog him. he is a lynchpin to the team overallShoulders would drop ,he is a hard bstard and reared by our opponents.

    • Stevo1987 July 11, 2017 at 9:25 pm

There is no reason for Eric to leave or us to sell him. More paper ballooks….

    • AntSpurs July 11, 2017 at 10:29 pm

Hey Mel, Dier is one serious player and one who leads by example. He was one of the best CM/DM and he’s been replaced. I know he preferred CB before but I’m not sure now. Wanyama suits most games with Dier at the back, but I’m not sure Dier is happy with this. If this is the case then Poch has to be honest with him .

      • AntSpurs July 11, 2017 at 10:32 pm

I would say that Poch would love to rotate but as good as Dier is he doesn’t suit playing with Wanyama as DM or CM and I feel Wanyama ha the edge against most oppo. In CL that’s different but that’s the difficulty Poch faces.

  • Camus July 11, 2017 at 9:09 pm

If we can sell Walker, Dier and Sissoko for a cool £130million combined, that would be a very successful window, my friends. We have Walker-Peters, CCV and Onomah ready to step in. In fact, I’d argue that we might actually be stronger.

    • David Dillenberg July 11, 2017 at 9:18 pm

    • David Dillenberg July 11, 2017 at 8:48 pm

      What has been said?

Foyth: On Tottenham: “I found out about Tottenham’s interest through social networks. I would like to play in Europe, if something comes up that convinces me and the club I will go,” he told Radio Continental.

“I know that my agent and Veron are going to travel over to deal with the Tottenham issue. I am feeling relaxed, on the outside of things.”
      Price Tag: Reportedly £5.7M

        • David Dillenberg July 11, 2017 at 8:59 pm

Doing a little research: Apparently most Argentinians have Italian and/or Spanish ancestry. They might be able to apply for an EU Passport if they prove their ancestry!

          • gloster1861 July 11, 2017 at 8:59 pm

    UnkleTaff July 11, 2017 at 6:41 pm

I’d rather be at a club where I could be confident that the coaching staff would make me into the best footballer I could possibly be.

I would look at the difference between £80k a week and £120k a week and think that £80k a week is still a fuck of a lot of money and be more than happy with it.

I see where you are coming from Taff but 40K a week over a Five year contract works out at a cool £10.4M…………..

    • UnkleTaff July 11, 2017 at 8:22 pm

…yes, but to be in a position to spend it you’d have to have got through the £20.8m you’d have received from the £80k a week contract first.

There’s only so much money you can spend.

      • MiT July 11, 2017 at 8:29 pm

This is the view of an idealistic vantage point. A footballer’s career is very short in relative terms. They have to look at their income to be spread out over the 30-50 years after their primary career has ended. Still far more than the average person sees over a lifetime, but ONLY if they take care of their money.

Their FA’s are going to tell them to grab the extra 33% and to take personal training to advance from there.

        • MiT July 11, 2017 at 8:34 pm

FROM the vantage point, of course. My mind is quite heavily occupied today. Work has recently been a grueling affair.

        • UnkleTaff July 11, 2017 at 8:35 pm

So you’re assuming a zero income once their playing careers have ended.

And what about the various sponsorship and advertising deals they can (and do) strike whilst they are playing?

Unlike his 1970s counterpart, your modern top-flight footballer will never have to worry about money once his playing days are over.

          • MiT July 11, 2017 at 8:39 pm

No sir. However, in most cases, a much more sporadic type of income. These lads growing up immersed only in the sport have very little real life experience, and a penchant for lavish now, and damn later.I am only pointing out that they must look at the contract much differently than one initially perceives.

    • 💋 July 11, 2017 at 8:43 pm

After 50% tax deduction would make that a £1m pa. Pfft. That ain’t no ting. I know that there’ll be a lot of ducking and diving in the accounting but in the final analcyst I suspect things like location (spouse, family, schools etc) job satisfaction etc etc are more important than a measly £1m.
