The Transfer Was Reluctantly Agreed Back In April

By The Boy -

Gladys believes that Bonzo was told back in April that he could leave if it what he truly wanted; at the time he was loathed to respond either way.

However he was told by Poch that this he would mean he may not be guaranteed to start matches.

After the Arsenal game, Spurs contacted his agent to find out what the issue is and what the motives for a move.

Spurs were genuinely concerned and sought clarification as to whether he wants a new contract (more cash) or whether there was something else.

Bonzo’s agent informed the club that the issue was/is not monetary and that Bonzo did not wish to unsettle anyone or force through a move in any antagonistic way; he was told that the club would remain patient.

Spurs reluctantly Baldwin aware that Bonzos long term deal and the club’s position of relative financial and sporting health would mean any transfer fee would have to be a world record for a defender.

Whatever occurs with our favourite nut-job, this is a good example of THFC and the player having both behaved pretty much impeccably.
