The Manager Who Stared At Goats

By The Boy -

“I want to say thank you to our supporters – 62,000,” the gaffer told the press.

“We’re out of the Champions League and it shows how big our club is so we say thank you to them.”

Eh? Those tickets were pre-sold, mate.

It was highly unlikely nobody was going to bother going.

“The performance was good. It was important to win here and change the bad feeling after Monaco and [Bayer] Leverkusen. We were much better. We are playing better and have started to show our real quality,”

“In the Premier League we have showed we can cope. Now I think you can feel the team has recovered the feeling. We crossed the line that was very difficult for us but now the team shows it has full confidence and we trust in ourselves again.”

Er… this talk of breaking a hoodoo will only become a reality if a] we are able to win again and b] the fatigue of playing at Wembley doesn’t adversely effect our League performances.

Chickens, hatched chickens, eggs… that sort of thing.
