London’s calling the Raiders again.
NFL UK on Thursday morning announced three 2018 games in London, including a matchup of the Raiders and Seahawks on Oct. 14. The teams will play at the home stadium of soccer team Tottenham Hotspur.
“The Raiders are a truly global brand and we look forward to hosting the first NFL game in Tottenham Hotspur’s new stadium,” Raiders owner Mark Davis said in a team statement.
It’s the Raiders’ fourth international game in five years. The Raiders lost 38-14 to the Dolphins at London’s Wembley Stadium in 2014. They’ve also played at Mexico City’s Azteca Stadium in each of the past two seasons, beating the Texans in 2016 and losing to the Patriots in 2017.
The Raiders were the designated “home” team in each of those games and will be giving up another home game this time.
NFL UK Press Release
Even I wouldn’t bicker over just the one game business, we’ll be lucky if the stadium is fully functional by August let alone ready to host retractable pitch high-jinkery come October.

”The announcement of the first game of the NFL’s 2018 London Games to take place at our new home heralds the commencement of our 10-year partnership. This is one of the cornerstones of our vision for creating a world-class sports and leisure destination that will make Tottenham a hive of activity 365 days a year and drive the regeneration of one of the most deprived areas of London.”
If anyone wishes to convincingly substantiate this regeneration garbage then I suggest you come heavy as leading Mafiosos are known to say.
