The Daily Mail are saying that Tottenham definitely want Ross Barkley.
So much so that Spurs have hardened their interest in the 23-year-old as he continues to prevaricate over his future at Goodison Park.
Everton gaffer Koeman said: ‘He needs to sign a new contract or you sell the player’.
Is Barkley worth signing? I’ll be completely honest, I really couldn’t tell you. To me he looks like a James Milner kind of character, solid and reliable enough and of course he’s Premier League ready to roll.
Mentally he looks to be stronger than the usual fairies we appear to be attracted to and so I’ve talked myself round into it being a potentially good signing.

Why pay Ross Barkley whatever a bulk standard Premier League midfielder is on these days when we have a perfectly inept haircut in the Academy who will work for food and subsidised tattoos?
Barkley would probably make us more consistent but we won’t move for him because everything will be dubbed a problem. Wages, fees etc. You name it. Problems will abound. Because Spurs are cheap and Spurs are pretenders.
