Son Heung-min  told Press Association Sport after last night’s disappointing result: “That hurt, but it’s football. We played well but sometimes football is like this. We have to accept the result but still for me, it hurts a lot.

“What was the difference? Nothing. At the start we played well, we created lots of chances, got to 1-0 and made the perfect start I think. This game we can learn something from, but this is sad news. The dressing room was a bit quiet.”

Given the dour expressions from all the Lilywhites concerned it’s difficult to imagine just how ‘a bit quiet’ the room was. Two away goals and and the first goal all thrown away.

We witnessed no three minutes of madness last night. You can’t detract from what occurred. It wasn’t an anomaly or some inexplicably bad luck. It was force. Will. What we and our team watched slack jawed, was a Blitzkrieg.

Ignoring the morons that have apparently called for Pochettino’s head (anyone still listening to talkSPORT needs the remainder their brain disposed of in a landfill site) I note that Kieran Trippier should also be sold while we’re in a culling kinda mood.

Extraordinary stuff even by ever decreasing quality of football fans contributing their weighty wisdom to the reaction quote toilet that Twitter has become.

We’ve been over this before, but once more with feeling, eh? Trippier, Aurier and Davies are not Bonzo and Rose and the sooner everyone INCLUDING Botchettino gets that memo, reads it and then signs an affidavit confirming not just that they have read it but also understood it, the better.

So Trippier, Aurier and Davies are not slow. Employing the same evaluation system one would knock Marilyn Monroe for being a bit lumpy and perhaps not all that bright.

Bonzo’s gone and is never coming back. Rose’s every sinew and pore look to be crying out that he wishes to follow suit.

Poch hasn’t satisfactorily changed his system to accommodate any of this and it shows.

This summer window may be one of the most fascinating of our lives. I don’t say that lightly. Would even an FA cup win cement players with doubts about their earning potential and genuine chance of honours at the New Destination™? All we now is it that it doesn’t count for squat for players at other clubs.

Perhaps predictably Erik Lamela is fast becoming a walking question mark. He’s back. There’s nothing wrong with him physically and there never was but he’s having trouble convincing Poch he’s worth a starting berth and when he does come on, it’s been a decidedly mixed bag.

The Argentinian is probably going to struggle to be selected for the World Cup, or at least one would have thought so and will have one intense eye on game time. The good news (in inverted commas) is that his cost to Tottenham was horribly inflated and he didn’t cost us anywhere remotely near £30million.

Ignoring his entire year out on full salary. Ignoring THFC posting faked images of him returning to training when he wasn’t and of course most hilariously of all – ignoring the fact that whilst out with a severe and most complicated hip injury he still managed to knock up his missus – he could still command enough on the open market to effect sufficient damage limitation on the renumeration front. Even by the Bald Weirdo’s standards.

Of all the hullabaloo the last night triggered, one glaring issue was the lack of creativity, deft and/or wit from Spurs midfield. The ever ageing Mousa Dembele, the slow as hell to return to full match fitness Victor Wanyama and the balsa wood Dele Alli need more than just the already overburdened Christian Eriksen to gawp at.

Wanyama was one of our best players last season and yes I know he has been injured but why does it take so long for our players to get back into the first eleven. The only way he will get back to match fitness is to play match minutes. I am not convinced that Toby is unable to play more minutes or Rose. I think this is Pooch and his arrogance and stubborn attitude that it’s his way or no way. He has allowed our defensive strength to be diluted. He sings to the Levy hymn sheet. He accepts the sale of Walker and froze him out of the squad. He clearly has a problem with Rose still and instead of perhaps thinking the best thing for the team is put aside the differences and motivate Rose to play himself into form and the into the World Cup. That would give him a focus instead of applying the same treatment as he did with Walker. When I saw Trippier and Davies along with Sanchez in our defence against Juve I feared that these players would have a moment that would cost us. Trippier and Davies are good EPL squad rotation players but they are not a first eleven CL quality players. Pooch has his favourites. Dele and Dier seem to be able to do no wrong in his eyes. Ali has been poor most of the season. Dier has been indifferent more times than not. Yes he can play DM or CB but at CB he is poor and as DM he goes to sleep and loses his man. His forward passing is weak and he often loses us possession as a result.Pooch should have taken Ali off in the 60 th minute and put Moura on alongside Son and Eriksen but he appears afraid to upset the balsa wood gansta and I wonder if he is concerned at upsetting the player and his agents with a summer World Cup shop window looming. He should have put Wanyama on for Dier to add some extra physicality in front of Trippier and Davies. Sanchez is an amazing prospect and with more experience has the potential to be a world class defender at which point he will probably f**k off to a club that will pay him a market rate and help him win things.

Dembele was excellent in the away leg. They took note of this, and he was dealt with effectively on Wednesday. That’s what good teams do, negate the opposition. They also pressed high and forced Lloris to kick instead of playing out from the back. They know Lloris is shit at kicking and they won almost all of the aerial balls he launched. They did a job on us.

  • Ronwol1960-61 March 9, 2018 at 11:14 am

Nobody on this whole blog mentioned Moura.

Then dont fucking sit him on the bench

So he was a sub for Eriksen I guess and Eriksen was doing well

Is this as far as Poch can think?

    • OrganicPaper March 9, 2018 at 11:16 am

I think you mentioned him a few times, Ron 🙂

I do agree though, he would have been a better option than Lamela IMO

    • Melcyid March 9, 2018 at 11:22 am

      I did

    • gloster1861 March 9, 2018 at 11:32 am

Lamela has a gift for running down blind alleys. Time and time again, unfortunately. He doesn’t have the physical presence to bully his way past defenders, he struggles quit frankly up front. I think his best contribution would be passing from centre midfield like a Pirlo.

      • OrganicPaper March 9, 2018 at 11:36 am

Crikey not everyday you see Lamela and Pirlo mentioned in the same sentence!
I agree he is one dimensional. Always wants to cut inside he is so easy for opposition to work out. Think your right that he would be a better central option for our style of play. Frankly I think we should sell him in the summer unless he really steps up in the last few games

  • The Man Who Shot The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence March 9, 2018 at 10:52 am

Pochettino is severley limited, by Levy of course but moreso by his own brain, tactically he was out thought at a time when Spurs were dominant, fitter and in front in the tie. 60 hours later and i still can’t fathom his thought pattern, clueless, naive, yes on both counts, he’s never been pro active with subs but to not be reactive is suicide, conceeding midfield was a tragedy undoing 19 months work to get to that point. Don’t say you’re proud of the lads, proud of their achievements, look where Poch has brought us, we’re among the big European teams now, 2 Seasons ago Leicester City had a chance to make history, they grasped that chance with both hands, Spurs though Choked on the biggest night for years, that my friend is the difference between Winners and also rans.

  • PlayitagainSamways March 9, 2018 at 10:50 am

We were out thought at a crucial time of the game.

Poch is learning with us, that was his first champions league knockout game. The all singing all dancing United team under Fergie used to get knocked out by all sorts of european shyte. Fergie learned.

Poch can prove that this team is learning and maturing by beating Chelsea at the bridge this season. If they dont win then I would say these boys are starting to plateau.

  • gloster1861 March 9, 2018 at 10:13 am

I reckon Bournemouth will come flying out of the traps. Eddie Howe seems like a decent manager and will know our lads will be pretty despondent right now.

It’s a big test for Pochettino.

    • SpurAndy 🍒π March 9, 2018 at 10:19 am

If our lads have got any decent minerals about them they won’t need Poch to give them any incentive.

Bournemouth not a bad team to be facing.

        • SpurAndy 🍒π March 9, 2018 at 10:26 am

Love Poch but how great would it be to be successful without having a manager. I’ve always thought having a conductor of an orchestra is waste of resources, he should be in there playing the triangle or summat useful rather than pointing a stick. I say the new coaching is no coaching!

          • gloster1861 March 9, 2018 at 11:27 am

The conductor sets the tempo and brings all the different sections together. A concert isn’t the best place to see that though: you should go along to an early rehearsal and see what a shambles they normally are until they get a kicking from the boss.

            • Freund or Foe March 9, 2018 at 11:33 am

No, but I did see Sir Adrian Boult rehearsing in London 40 years ago! Giving the orchestra a right load of verbals, really paying down the law. That’s where all the hard work is done; when they perform on the night it should be a formality.

At that level, a top, top goalie is essential. In a game of ki items chances, they are often the difference. I hope Buffon wins the CL this time.

  • richspurs March 9, 2018 at 8:45 am

Pocho needs to visit a coaching mentor, coach, motivator or someone of that ilk. Someone who can assist him to read a game, develop a mental forward and periphery vision, ability to suss things out, do an in-match trend analysis and PROACT. That game was there for the taking, we could see things changing, maybe he cant see from the sidelines, a seat higher up might help. His season choices a-la Sissy, Lamela, the full backs debacle, out of form and other on field issues with Dele, tactical shifts etc all seem hit-n-miss to me.

    • East Stand March 9, 2018 at 9:07 am

Slagging Poch off for doing his best with what he’s got isn’t really going to lead us anywhere is it?

Sanchez is 21, Trippier is getting better as is Davies but against Juve it was men against boys in the end…

    • Gus March 9, 2018 at 9:08 am

The NZ All Blacks recent success at rugby world cup has been built on a foundation of a core leadership players group, and a full time mental skills coach. It’s not as silly as you think

      • East Stand March 9, 2018 at 9:10 am

I get your point but Rugby is a slightly different thought process. Rugby is all about mental toughness, it’s a battle.

Football is more nuanced and the mental balance harder to get right without leaders and experience in the actual team.

        • Gus March 9, 2018 at 9:29 am

A doco called “Weight of a Nation” about us winning the 2011 cup took us behind the curtain to see the mental skills manager’s role. He taught the players not to fear the big moments, to focus on the tasks at hand, to think clearly in high pressure situations. Sound familiar?

The pressure that Graham Henry talks about, about contemplating leaving the country if he lost, was very real. Kiwis were tormented by our inability to win the tournament for so long, and it paralysed the players and management on multiple campaigns, making them take bad options

Not when it counts he doesn’t sadly. The old girl has to get to finals. I know it’s boring but Poch is doing brilliantly in the little leagues but that isn’t good enough. Only player missing against Juve was Toby.

Two away goals in the bank and a goal ahead on the night and still choked.

Difficult to believe that Juve will win the tournament. Must do better.

  • DAVID March 9, 2018 at 8:28 am

The Juve coach is being hailed as a genius in some quarters for the substitutions and change of formation which turned the match on it’s head in the space of 5 minutes.
You can’t deny the incredible impact those changes made, I do wonder if it was a long term plan or simply panic measures but either way, it worked.

    • Caspurs♿️ March 9, 2018 at 8:30 am

Morning big D, hope you and the new addition are well and thriving. Clearly Allegri’s subs worked on this occasion but I’m not sure he’s the genius that some think he is. Seen some of their matches this season and don’t remember his subs having the same impact then. Like most manager, it’s a roll of the dice, sometimes they work, often they don’t. When they do your a genius when they don’t your names Poch, apparently.

      • DAVID March 9, 2018 at 9:28 am

        Family doing well thanks Andy.
Don’t think I’ve ever seen a game change so quickly in such a short space of time, just our luck to be on the receiving end.
Was following the feed on the BBC and their analyst picked up on their change of formation straight away and before they scored but I guess you get a better view of these changes from high up in the stand than Poch and his team would have at pitch level.

    • East Stand March 9, 2018 at 9:05 am

They had real options and experience. They had no interest in playing nice football, the came to grind it out and that’s what they did.

They have huge CL experience and we have fuck all. Analysis of tactics etc is all well and good but their advantage was their experience. End of story…

          True

      • DAVID March 9, 2018 at 9:34 am

Our bench had plenty of experience and ability, it was their change of formation that did for us and our failure to respond to it or deal with it.
It’s important you learn from your mistakes and to do that you have to analyse what went wrong, tactically we were spot on for 65 minutes, hopefully Poch learns from this.

        • East Stand March 9, 2018 at 9:41 am

What, experience at the top level in the bench, CL? Who? Only Lorente for me…

Our squad is full of International players.
We lost the game because we failed to respond to their tactical changes.
Tactics win matches. Or at least theirs did on this occasion.

He was a blue belt at judo who didn’t do his gradings so he used to enjoy embarrassing the black belts. He was freakishly strong. He once gave a guy a ride to a guy who asked him to drop him off in a west London boozer. After about 5 minutes or so he walked in an heard the guy bragging to his mates that he’d just bumped a cab driver. My uncle told him nicely that if he doesn’t pay, he will take the money off him in front of his mates. He told him it’s ok, he was just coming in for some change.

I depends on what happens in a match. If we have a situation where some experienced quality would have helped, then you look at why we might lack those kind of players.

That’s where Levy comes into it, then it’s about recruitment and expenditure.

Poch has only been there for a tiny period of ENIC’s glorious stewardship and we are a better team now than ever. Splutter!!

We are closer now to winning a trophy than any time since the false dawn of 2008. It will be disappointing if we go through this team cycle without any silverware. But to coin the words of hall of fame NFL quarterback Jim Kelly, it sucks to lose the final but most teams would kill to be in regular contention

    • East Stand March 8, 2018 at 11:54 pm

True, better than not even being in the shake up.

My main concern is that Levy only wants to be in the shakeup to sell Cheese Tunnel memberships. The trophy bit doesn’t interest him in the slightest…

      • AntSpurs March 8, 2018 at 11:55 pm

In which case we won’t attract the players in the first place to make it interesting enough to entertain the corporates in the cheese room nd tunnel club.

        • AntSpurs March 8, 2018 at 11:58 pm

He won’t be able to charge top dollar for sponsorships and he’ll struggle to renew season tickets and it will be a major fuck up. A successful club or one competing for honours is probably worth a billion a year soon and maybe an extra £5b on the sale price. You dont think he wants a piece of that?

          • East Stand March 9, 2018 at 7:34 am

Levy will get the sponsorships and memberships he needs based on the current business model.

He will probably prefer top 4 though, just like Woolwich when they moved to their place. Identical strategy…

  • Freund or Foe March 8, 2018 at 10:58 pm

Crikey. The last few stones of the pyramid don’t quite fit, so let’s remove the base level.
We’ve just ended our 2nd best unbeaten run EVER. Yes, that’s EVER. No, I said EVER.
We lost a game of footie against a better team on the night. Poch is a young manager and will learn from it, as will the players.
Over training? Not enough training? Buy winners? Sell the winners we have? So much straw clutching, it could be a Worzel Gummidge convention.
Carry on though, it’s rather funny.

    • jfdit March 8, 2018 at 11:02 pm

ok on the strikers – against the goons we should have been 4-5 nil up before their good chances to score at the end correct?

the only difference between last night & that game is last night our luck ran out, we need to address our poor finishing – what other solution have we got other than improving what we have or moving them on

we’re on course for 4/5th with the current squad everyone else around us is improving, do you propose we tread water & stay as we are?

      • Freund or Foe March 8, 2018 at 11:14 pm

I seem to remember us beating the goons. Yes, I’m pretty sure we did, right after we beat manure and made the all conquering Liverpool look a bit ordinary at home. But we should have scored more? Yes, but they didn’t dock us any points.
Exactly who are you talking about moving on in the striking department? Son, who has scored more than Mane, Sanchez, Sane, Martial and Mahrez? Or Ali, 4th highest assists in the PL? Or maybe Kane?
We’re the in form team in the PL. We’re not treading water.

        • jfdit March 8, 2018 at 11:29 pm

christ you’re like a politician ask one question answer another

look at recent games regardless of results, Sonny & Kane have been brilliant but wow they’ve missed some decent chances especially last night, even Son’s goal last night was a mishit, we’re chewing the fat asking where we went wrong – I’m of the opinion we lost last night simply because they took their chances whereas we fluffed ours

yes we’re the form team but the season starts in August & we’re 20 points (miles) away from Citeh, same points distance when we were coming 5th years ago

          • Freund or Foe March 8, 2018 at 11:39 pm

I don’t think so dit. You tried to justify how shite we are by saying we should have scored more in a game we won against our arch enemy and top 6 contender. You talk about moving on strikers, which is one of the most ludicrous things I’ve heard on here for a while, and that’s saying something.
We’re one point down on last season. That’s with the clusterfuck of inevitable doom that is Wembley, and the incredible improvement that you suggest from those around us.

            • jfdit March 8, 2018 at 11:44 pm

I personally think Alli is our weakest link up front, Son given more game time may improve & be world class, Harry whilst playing ok looks jaded, Lamela looks a show pony hardly inspires, actually I never said we’re shite, far from it we are an exceptional team that if we were more clinical would be neck & neck with citeh at the top of the table

I can see where we could be, will we get there? no not if we keep fluffing our lines in key games

              • East Stand March 8, 2018 at 11:46 pm

hows that? face facts last night we got a self inflicted mugging, no harm in having a post mortem, I was in the minority that thought we might have an outside chance of winning the CL, Chelsea won it with a worse side than ours

              • Freund or Foe March 8, 2018 at 11:48 pm

Ah, so it’s an expectation thing, fair enough. Aim high and all that, the sky is the limit.

                • jfdit March 8, 2018 at 11:57 pm

yes exactly you’ve got it, tot up the silly points we’ve dropped this season & despite playing at Wembley we would have been very close to Citeh, two chelsea fans & a gooner said to me last week if we had stayed at the lane an extra season we’d have won the title this season – would have been a close run thing typical spursy that is

Drop Ali to CM he can run from deep and get the ball facing the goal rather than his back to the goal where he inevitably goes down like a sack of shit .
All our attacking play goes down the left though son general unless we overload that side and tripper moves into the open space left.
Put Moura on the right and it will give us a more balanced attack while allowing Ali some freedom to create or maybe score again.

            • jfdit March 8, 2018 at 11:48 pm

ok should have explained my thoughts on strikers clearer – my view is our attacking players are Kane, Son, Alli, Lamela & Llorente

imo we are flogging Kane to death due to no one else bar Son being quite up to scratch

We’re most definitely in the business end of the season now. We’re in pole position for at least 4th, 5 points clear of the Chavs. There can be no hangover from last night at the weekend – we need to cement our place in the top 4. I’m feeling pretty wary of the FA Cup right now. I want us to win it, of course I do, but last night just reiterated again that our heroes, whilst we can be proud of their efforts for the season generally so far, are still not the men for the big occasion. There were shades of that semi-final vs the Chavs where we dominated possession and then got sucker-punched a couple of times and looked gormless and soft.

I worry about the FA Cup now – I don’t think we have it in us. Too many flakes on the big occasion – Lloris, Trippier, Davies, Dier, Dele, maybe Eriksen, they’re not big game players and serial winners. We’re lacking some grit. A couple of cunty defenders with a chip on their shoulder. And a midfield ‘driver’ who’d shout at the lads to stop flouncing about and get a grip.

Top 4 is essential now and the most I can pin my hopes on.

  • Andrew March 8, 2018 at 10:49 pm

The winning mentality comes from the very top, owners who demand trophies and spend the most to give their managers a huge advantage ,citeh, cheatski, manure, even goons win cups.
So we shouldn’t expect too much.

    • SpursGoliath March 8, 2018 at 11:11 pm

The fans have been sold the idea the stadium will make us more financially competitive – whether or not we’re financing a debt, new stadium must equal increase in wages. Time for the owners to ‘walk the walk’, I don’t think the ‘stadium has cost us too much’ line will appease the fans at all.

  • Nick March 8, 2018 at 10:46 pm

The selection issues I feel are a consequence of the over training. It is the elephant in the room,Pochettinos whole ethic is based upon it so it will not change, that would take a man who is comfortable in his own skin, hair dye doesn’t fit this profile does it? Player are never quite 100% as they’re knackered when the big boys come to town.Kane is looking like he did before the euros.

  • Nick March 8, 2018 at 10:38 pm

We need a winner pure & simple someone that has done it,gone the distance & held the trophy aloft.I don’t know who please enlighten me but this is where we are at.The top teams all have to win the first silverware at some point but they all have a catalyst,a fundamental pool of experience to look to,to gain direction.even Leicester had Ranieri.Any suggestions ?

  • East Stand March 8, 2018 at 10:25 pm

We lack leadership in the team, it’s as simple as that.

I thought Alli did ok last night, the Italians kicked the shit out of him and he didn’t take the bait.

We can’t have a go at him for retaliating and we already know he’s a lightweight but he caused Juve a lot of problems last night. I’m not slagging him off when he played as well as he could.

Thought Lamela was much better in his short cameo last night than seems to be the consensus. He was put on a bit late but Juve are full time bus parkers and there was little space but he found some pockets.

Dier was doing much of the legwork for Dembele which isn’t his game but he was largely adequate in my opinion.

We switched off and a quality skipper may well have helped with that.

Quality skippers want to be paid well and have fuck all resale value because of their age. That’s why Levy won’t buy one, because he’s a tight cunt…

    • East Stand March 8, 2018 at 10:26 pm

Shirt buttons don’t make prizes kids…

    • Andrew March 8, 2018 at 10:31 pm

We have a quality defender in Toby , would make a great captain but he wants to be paid what he is worth, levy is a skin flint, but a great stadium builder .

      • East Stand March 8, 2018 at 10:47 pm

Is he? It’s only taken him 16 bloody years to build the fucker…

        • Andrew March 8, 2018 at 10:50 pm

          He had to save up.

          • jfdit March 8, 2018 at 10:51 pm

what to borrow the feckin money?

            • Andrew March 8, 2018 at 11:06 pm

How long should it have taken to build? I know sixteen years is a long time, but how do you put a time scale in the build.

              • jfdit March 8, 2018 at 11:11 pm

ENIC are indecisive at best, they are reactive but always seem to be behind the curve

we all wonder what their end game actually is

                • East Stand March 8, 2018 at 11:13 pm

Adding to their asset value slowly over time.

                  What have I won?

    • Dan March 8, 2018 at 10:35 pm

Hugo is a presence but shouldn’t be captain, you can’t lead by example during a game as a keeper and are isolated.

      • Harry Hotspur March 8, 2018 at 11:02 pm

I like my Captains with a bit more meat on the bone.

Pugwash, Kirk, America, Crunch, Kangaroo, Quint, Caveman, Birdseye. All good captainns.

Hook, Sparrow, Morgan, Ahab, Ron, Sensible all rubbish captains…

    • AntSpurs March 8, 2018 at 11:05 pm

Whilst we could do with at least a couple of seasoned experienced players (or leaders) I’m not sure that’s the reason on this occasion for our failure. If you look at the 1st leg (yes you could argue that if we had a more experienced guy at the back we may not have gone 1 or 2 down) however we fought back showed plenty of direction and know how. We were fortunate with the penalty miss but we could have had a hatful ourselves. For the 2nd leg again, tons of great chances. Where we could have made the difference is to slow the game down at 1 up or change the system for the last 15 minutes but again I would guess that Poch doesn’t feel we have the ability to play this way. Does he spend a shed load of time for these situations when he feels we’re not capable. He should have found a way to slow it down a bit I feel but hey what do I know. Either way his choice to attack came unstuck but we could have blown them away. Small margins but hey we could have sat back and lost and that would been down to him too.

      • East Stand March 8, 2018 at 11:17 pm

Juve looked like seasoned old campaigners who accepted that they couldn’t match us but still found a way to win the tie.

Italian teams are bad enough for it but ones with some experienced quality like Juve do it even better.

  • jfdit March 8, 2018 at 10:25 pm

had more time to digest last nights clusterfuck, solved the problem for Poch & Levy

Forwards – more finishing training after training, if conversion ratios don’t improve start making plans to shake up forwards to bring in better quality

Defenders – buy some decent experienced fullbacks, Levy – stop selling players & replacing them with inferior ones

midfielders – get rid of posers & tarts, get some in with some balls & decisiveness

Goalie – lets be honest hugo’s a tart, I’d sign Buffon on last nights showing alone, boys & girls that is what a world class goal keeper looks like

    • Harry Hotspur March 8, 2018 at 10:41 pm

There’s a chap I know whose been following Spurs forever (hello Martin) and he has an uncanny habit of making bold predictions about Spurs that appear left-field but then are rapidly revealed to come true.

He called out Lloris being on a slow decay some time ago. The fact that Poch has made him his right hand man is not good news. We do not have a captain. I refuse to buy into any Mystic Meh shite about whatever goes on in the dressing room. He’s a softly spoke French geezer. No good.

      • jfdit March 8, 2018 at 10:46 pm

someone on here calls him crisp bag hands, not far off the truth, I call him near post ponce, ahhhh the french never liked them fucking cheese eating surrender monkeys

you’re right he’s as timid as a mouse, reactive not proactive, makes some good saves but alas has the distribution skills of a one legged peanut seller

      • East Stand March 8, 2018 at 11:47 pm

        Dis.

  • Sniper March 8, 2018 at 10:24 pm

Yup. We are two or three players short of being a good side.

    A few sandwiches short of a picnic….

    • East Stand March 8, 2018 at 10:29 pm

We need a skipper that is fit for purpose plus another leader in our number.

Levy doesn’t deserve a trophy, we do but he and ENIC don’t. It’s a strange feeling…

  • Andrew March 8, 2018 at 10:24 pm

We just wasted too many chances, how many well hit shots did we take against an ageing goalkeeper??
I just don’t get why lamela came on instead of Lucas moura . Lucas is very quick with skill, heaven forbid we try a rapid player against ageing defenders. What was poch thinking.I
I hope the club learn from this defeat, as we are improving, but how much longer will our best players stick around, in fact how much longer before poch looks for a club that is going to back him with his first choice players. I just hope levy supports poch .

    • Harry Hotspur March 8, 2018 at 10:27 pm

Lucas is a prospect for Spurs, nothing more.

I learned some while a go to take a massive hint from Poch’s selections. There are reasons he doesn’t let certain players have too much gametime..

      • Andrew March 8, 2018 at 10:35 pm

I would still pick Lucas before lamela. Lamela just can’t do anything well enough.

        • Harry Hotspur March 8, 2018 at 10:58 pm

          Lamela is just unreliable.

      • jfdit March 8, 2018 at 10:38 pm

getting puzzled by Poch’s selections this season, last season victor played nearly every game when fit hardly had a look in this season when available, Sissoko given game time pre window not after hmmmnn wonder why?

he has his favourites but drops players when they hit decent form

        • Harry Hotspur March 8, 2018 at 10:57 pm

Poch is a strange cat and one can’t help but suspect he is being operated like Nookie The Bear by Swimming Cap Man.

    • jfdit March 8, 2018 at 10:31 pm

most of our shots are straight at the keeper regardless of who we’re playing, our shot conversion ratio must be lowest in league this season

the players invariably choke, we miss loads of good goal scoring chances

  • Sexy Beast March 8, 2018 at 10:21 pm

The boy Jonathon Tah who we are linked to looks like a tremendus player, 6ft 4 and quick and is rated as the best young defender in Germany.

You know Sexy, I was first invited to the club when I was 17 (and straight). Although I used to hang out in some rough estates and knew many homeophibic people, I was very open minded and so my pal was confident to invite me. The first night was a real eye opener. Coming down the stairs and into the arena was choc a bloc people off their nut, the most chiselled pumped up guys that would give Arnie a run for his money and everyone was smiling and really fackin enjoying themselves. The music well, nothing like it. There was a techno beat, but with melodic trancey overtones (amazeballs) . Everyone was so friendly, but also really polite (although slightly disbelieving) when I’d them I was straight) they were genuinely often really respectful when i was asked why I’m in the place. I never had a problem and in fact it made a nice change from being screwed out or having a ruckas which was reasonably common a lot of my other hangouts. Anyways made some brilliant friends, from there and really taught me about acceptance. That place was incredible and people who think it’s unfair to have clubs solely for gay people should see for themselves. Btw no I don’t think your bad mate.

      • jfdit March 8, 2018 at 11:08 pm

I think the fact we’re willing to let Toby leave for £40k+ extra a week over our offer shows why we’ll be the bridesmaids, loads of teams will be willing to pay that & more plus the large fee he’ll command

        we need to keep him

      • 💋 March 8, 2018 at 11:11 pm

        I do. He’s a homeophibic wrong un.

        • AntSpurs March 8, 2018 at 11:23 pm

Yes he shouldn’t be shouting insults at the gay community, but hey I know he doesnt mean it. He’d give ‘em a hug and say sorry, I know it.
