Terrorist Wore An Arsenal Shirt

By The Boy -

The Sun has decided to prominently focus upon the the fact that one of the terrorists that was shot dead on Saturday evening in London was wearing an Arsenal shirt.

Whilst it is of use to share that this person was integrated into British society and details of his former employers were given, to highlight any branded clothing he was wearing is nothing but cheap and decisive.

As a few of you have discovered on this blog, the fact that we all follow the same team bears no relation or relevance to us all getting along. Do you like spaghetti? What if you discovered that Myra Hindley did too, does that prove the fair of you had something in common? Of course not.

If this coward was a fan of a particular football team, it is utterly meaningless.

The Sun have included this information front and centre in order to add some extra zip, to sensationalise if you can believe it, people being barbarically slain in the street.

I suggest you submit your complaint to the Independent Press Standards Organisation.

Football teams have no control over who wear their shirts, but newspaper editors do have control over what they publish.
